hey Tatty was missing ya :)

have you tried meditation and maybe a pen and paper beside the bed?

drug wise i have found magnesium and melotonin to be effective ( magnesium the supplement and melotonin the hormone) not telling you to try them honestly, just telling you what has worked for me :)

ohhh and i also use my blue blockers which i think can help a wee bit ...

i find with working night shifts it can be so hard to fall asleep sometimes, my mind is racing and it isn't racing about anything interesting ... just random rubbish ...

I used to have serious trouble sleeping - heart and mind racing. Cut out caffeine after about 6pm and sugar after 8pm and it really helped. Also have a lavendar pillow or lavendar essential oil spray under/on my pillow if I'm restless but I now generally drop right off without anything. If I don't I can almost always trace it to having too much sugar that evening!

Good luck - not being able to get to sleep is no fun!

Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake! Its lovely - very dramatic, and just enough off the conventional path, by using male dancers, that you see the story in a completely new way. Wonderful. I love ballet, did it for years, and went along to performances for years, I'd go that often again in a heartbeat if I had the dosh ...

And I like the sound of small bites of proper discussion with OH on finances, not a full overview constantly - thats a really good idea.

Thanks for this. I shall try it tonight, I have some lavender sachet things, I might try one of them too. :)
It was nearly 4am this morning by the time I dropped off. :(

Hope you managed to get a sleep tatty :)

Kc yep it really was a great ballet, glad we chose it for our first :)

Well it's been yet another busy weekend, I have been night shift all weekend walked into work place politics on Saturday, I need to learn to step away from them, but when they are directed partly at me I find it hard ... Sigh

We now have two complete new wood stores taking our total to 3, we have a tidyish garden and a tidy garage, we just have to get the gas fire disconnected and the lights moved and we are good to go for the fires :) looking forward to getting them in and the rest of the walls etc stripped so that we can get the decorating done

This Friday were off to watch a friend play in her brass band, that will be a great way to relax after a hard week spent in the house, then Saturday were off tattie shopping :)

I'm all excited about getting started in the garden again this year and I'm itching to start planting but it's too early yet so I need to be patient that little bit longer, I'm thinking of maybe getting some sweet tatties this year to try so will see if I can pick some up on Saturday

Money wise, well no real unplanned spends which is important but it isn't a cheap process as I'm sure you can imagine
