so what have i been up to? well i cleared the cupboard under the stairs, emptied out the books that need selling etc, put by the chainsaw etc, put stuff up the loft and in the garage, started on the spare room so i have been busy.
I have also spoke to a person regarding the course i am thinking of, as usual the person tries to sell the good ignore the bad and tell me how i would be perfect for it ( not just me ... anyone that phoned up tbh)
i feel as if i am stuck in a corner, the job i am doing is not the best, and i dont want to be there till i retire, however i dont want to move to any other job that is similar either, so what are my options ? get another job? but what job? what job will give me what i am looking for ? there aint many of them
so i go back to studying ... now studying costs money.. paying for the course and student loans etc .. unless you go for a course that is paid for you and pays you to study ... hence the reason why i am choosing the course i am ... well that and the fact that i know i could do the job and would be good at it ... so in a way i feel like i am being backed into a corner ... and am trying to get my head around it tbh
money wise ... wooo hooo finally got a £2.70 Tilly tidy, so that will be going into the Tilly tidy account, there should be some more tomorrow which will give me a boost psychologically0 -

But not perfect enough to have your calls returned promptly.i feel as if i am stuck in a corner, the job i am doing is not the best, and i dont want to be there till i retire, however i dont want to move to any other job that is similar either, so what are my options ? get another job? but what job? what job will give me what i am looking for ? there aint many of them
This is true. If perfect jobs were plentiful, we'd all be happy and that would break the universe or something...so i go back to studying ... now studying costs money.. paying for the course and student loans etc .. unless you go for a course that is paid for you and pays you to study ... hence the reason why i am choosing the course i am ... well that and the fact that i know i could do the job and would be good at it ... so in a way i feel like i am being backed into a corner ... and am trying to get my head around it tbh
You're not being backed into a corner. You're choosing to change jobs. You're choosing to change to this one (there are others which pay to study - like teaching [STRIKE]scrotes[/STRIKE] children)."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Your right if course Z I am choosing to change my current circumstances
I had looked at all the courses that are paid for and that you get a bursary with previously .. I don't think I could teach or be a social worker etc ... I think the one most suited for me would be a mental health nurse ... Which is why I picked it
I spose I am just stamping my feet and feeling childish cause i so wanted my educational experience to be things I would enjoy ... An eclectic mix if you will
Things like horticulture, conservation, Shakespeare , psychology, sociology , drugs , art, finance , economics and politics , philosophy etc
I know that doing mental health nursing will bring in the drugs, psychology and sociology I get that ... I'm just being childish really ... I should feel greatful or the opportunity ... And I am sure when I start I will enjoy it
In that vein ... The money pot that I ha started accumulating for our 25th wedding anniversary will now be diverted to the uni fund as I will have to make up a shortfall for wages that I won't get once a student0 -

Did you ever go to school? An eclectic mix if you will
That's what t'interwebs are for.Things like horticulture,
Can never take that word seriously since Dorothy Parker...conservation,
Is that the art of being a Conservative?Shakespeare ,
:eek::eek::eek: Verily! No...psychology,
You'll get to practice that at Uni.
Then you'll meet the students as well...sociology ,drugs ,
That's a lot of studentism...art,
No, that's being unemployed and drawing the dole.finance ,
You should know all about that.economics and politics ,
One makes the other, but possibly not the way round you think.philosophy etc
Don't get into that. You'll start pondering the imponderable, and then where will you be?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I sure did go to school and I loved it ... I just wanted it to continue in the same vein
I reckon economics drive politics ... But I take it I'm all wrong ?0 -

Well at least someone did.I just wanted it to continue in the same vein
Broken heating every winter? :rotfl:I reckon economics drive politics ... But I take it I'm all wrong ?
Nope, you're right - just with the intervention of history.
So (for example) when times are hard, the Americans print money like mad because they had the rather unfortunate deflationary Great Depression, and the Germans save like mad because they had the rather unfortunate inflationary Weimar Republic."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

And did it come out saying which it thought was best?
(Or was it a video on dodgy school heating?)"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Here ya go ... Tis 22 mins long but an interesting watch1 -
today has been a mixed bag ... i feel stressed about being kept on hold as first in the queue for over 70 mins ... i gave up in the end as i could feel my blood pressure boiling ... i did however leave them a not very polite message
to give you a bit of background ... this is the job i applied for in April had to chase up to see if they got my application form and re send it several times as they " hadn't received it yet" eventually after i had given up i was invited for a job interview when i got back from my holiday early september ... once again i was told i was exactly what they were looking for ( why do they feel the need to lie ) and they wanted me to start there and then if they could ... but that i would have to get my pvg etc
so i filled out the forms did everything i needed to do ... even went on their induction training course ( which i didnt get paid for) but yet since the beginning of September i have still to get a start date, so i have phoned them several times, left messages on answer machines ... no one has replied, my friend who works for them has said look she is waiting for her start date whats happening, they said we will phone her today ... they didnt... i spoke to someone and they said oh the person you want isnt in right now but they will phone you today ... they didnt ... i phoned again .. on hold for 40 mins ... no luck ... phoned again on hold for 25 mins left a message as someone will get back to me as soon as possible ... good job i wasnt holding my breath as two weeks later they still hadnt phoned ... phoned back and was on hold for over 70 mins whilst being first in the queue ... so i left a not very nice message ... i think we can safely say that job is not mine anymore
and the annoying thing is it would be who i would be going to work for once i had finished my uni course ... do i want that stress in my life ?
Tilly tidies ... yay i finally got some so have transferred the pennies over to the tilly tidy account and went it fills up i will put it to where its needed most ... have phoned the broadband company and told them i really want their boxes gone as i we dont watch tv here anymore ... they are sending some boxes out ( might as well make it a day for all my stressful phone calls)
phoned the council as they were reviewing the council tax that we paid for when i was a student and thinking should i have paid more so was put on hold there as well ... but that is now dealt with also
and low and behold i just got a reply from the people that had me on hold for as long ... they profusely apologise and think there phone system is on the blink today ... i said eh no this isnt the first time ... but anyway yes they desperately want me and they have booked me in for more training in Feb i need to check one of my referances and do a quick online thing then i should be good to go ... allegedly0
