Great news about the safe arrival of baby "Gertie". I so hope that your pain decreases or even better goes away soon. When we were children we used to sing "rain, rain go away", perhaps we can all sing "Pain, Pain. Lilty's pain go away":)
New Macbook sounds amazing, I hope that you can keep it safe from your darling child, can you add to household insurance for accidental damage just in case? The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Am back due to complete breakdown of focus.
lol.
Lucky I feel the vibes. Or the tiger balm..am suitably soothed right now.
maddiemay I have to out her to tell you her beautiful actual name. She was named last night, and it was the name I guessed months ago way before they had chosen it'Ava' - I love her! She is utterly adorable with pudge and masses of dark thick hair. Her mummy did amazingly well. My besties appear to have this knack of firing their children out in a couple of hours! Me meanwhile... 19 hours :rotfl:
Macbook is living in a high up section of my wardrobe with my trousers :rotfl: and only comes out once she is safely ensconced in bed, thus far. I will buy a case and a zippable pouch for it I think... just in case!! But yes, I am going to look to insure it and the iPhone as it is covered on the home insurance but I would prefer a separate cover to stop my premiums rocketing!

Awh I am having a 5 minute lunch and then back to the grind. My concentration levels are so low that I am much slower and therefore in order to get my usual superhuman amount of work done, I have to work through. Nvm, tonight through to the end of Tuesday = no work
I had to get the train, one station, this morning. I got on a 3 minute walk from my house, and got off approx halfway along my usual 2 mile route. I just couldn't deal with the walk. Felt silly but needs must. Think FIL is picking me up tonight. They have Jelly as I am at work & Him has picked up an extra shift while his mum can cover.
Macbook didn't even come out last night. I was in bed by 7. Couldn't sit up so just lay down and went to sleep. Nice long rest
Probably the same tonight!
Ooh while I remember, made a chickpea and turkey breast curry last night, with tonnes of garden peas shoved in. Very nice!!
Talk later xx

Hello lovely ladies
Thank you for the drive-by's
I am at home after an interminably long day at work. In my snuggles, in bed with the blanket on and feeling a touch better now. Jelly also asleep. FIL did indeed collect me. They have all gone now though and Jelly was in bed just a touch later than normal so went right to sleep.
She was apparently very good until she got to dinnertime when she launched her dinner across the floor. Oops. Poor nanny.
She is now going to go to nursery 3 full days a week. This will cost me £12 extra over week for the extra 3 hours. To be honest it is well worth it as she loves nursery, needs to get into a routine for starting school, and it allows me a full 6 hours to do all of the cleaning etc. So I will make my weekend all about Jelly. We will bake, and make playdoh and go out on bikes and trikes and scooters and to the park. NO housework. NO shopping. Just mummy & Jelly fun. Assuages some of my guilt over putting her in nursery for longer even though I know she will love it.
NSD's all this week of work:)
Got to remember next week is my turn for the cakes at work on Friday. Use my groceries budget for this, but I need to make sure I get the cakes on a spend day.
Am off to figure out some banking stuff. And check through YNAB.
Back later for diaries xx
