Hello and Happy New Year from me, Him and the Jellytot!!

Today my pain has been much better but I have (without reading your post I might add SS) stayed in bed for the most part. I have helped out with minor things, making Jellys dinner and getting her into pyjamas while Him did his workout for instance, but other than that I have stayed on my bum and had Him deal with everything. he locked her out using her kitchen as a barrier across the door. Worked wonders, but she has also been more thoughtful today. Shame it wasn't yesterday when the pain was so bad I kept tearing up.

Two nights in a row with very little sleep. Last night I took 40mg of Amitriptyline, 5mg Valium, 60mg codeine... and STILL could not sleep. I sincerely hope tonight I manage to get more comfortable, stay the right temperature and don't have Jelly jump on me at 5:40am like this morning!!

Still feeling super guilty about the Macbook... I am already working plans on how to pay for it though. I've got something to eBay which I know sells for £60 on there, so after fees that £50+ to add to my kitty. Got tonnes of kids stuff to offload. Feels weird; a bit like admitting defeat on the idea of having another baby... I kept everything up until Him left, and now I am far less inclined to. Maybe, one day, but really not now... or even 2016! So may as well sell the stuff, as most of it was gifted anyway!

Today I spent a few hours pootling around doing swishy decluttering jobs. I have sorted my bedside cabinets out, and put my toiletries into a lovely box my friend used as a hamper for my Christmas gift. I also sorted out my medications. Reminds me, I need to collect some more from the pharmacy! I decluttered my photographs n my hard drive, and my music. I even went through my filing cabinet and got rid of a binliner full of old paperwork I don't really need. I am going to take it to work and pop it in the confidential shredding bin. Work pay for it to be taken, full or empty, so I might as well get their moneys worth for a week ;)

I can hear Him dishing up dinner... jacket spuds (sweet and normal) and cheese and beans. I am sitting on my bum until he tells me it is ready :D

P.S SS sending you super gentle hugs for the MC. I didn't know (I know it was a while ago but still) - I am sorry. Big enveloping hugs xxx

  • Glad you are in less pain today, but please continue to take it easy. Like you, I have also been clearing out the drawer where I keep my lotions and potions today, it's amazing how much stuff I have but more so how much I haven't used since the last time I cleared it out! Carrier bag of stuff went in the bin!

I have loads of baby stuff and clothes in the loft. I could either make money from selling it or donate it to my cousin who has just had a baby boy (which would be my preferred choice if she wanted it), but I still can't quite give it up. Although we have decided not to have any more, particularly with DH being the way he is and 4 babies lost already, getting rid of it seems too final. Will just have to be brave and do it!

Believe me Lucky - it is a wrench selling things. My mum and dad live in a 17 roomed house. 2 giant attic rooms are full to the rafters, mostly with my baby stuff... EVERYTHING salvageable (so not really bibs, muslins and babygrows from the older months) went up there.

When I say it like that it sounds like I am a rich kid... :rotf: - the house is a rundown pile of carp that they have only just started to be able to afford to fix up. My dad bought it for £16,000 with compensation money from a mining accident in cash about 35 years ago now. Love the house, but I cried when I came home when I was 15 and had been on a school trip to France and mum had decorated my bedroom for the first time ever. It was bare plasterboard before then!! :D

Have had my dinner which was lovely, put my plate in the kitchen, ignored the bombsite and pots and come back to bed :D I am not pot washing!! Nor am I getting dressed tomorrow when the in-laws are coming. Screw it, they can see me in my tartan jammies :D

I think I may just have killed my external hard drive...

    Oh boy

Today I am in eye popping amounts of pain. Back to the dark ages when I couldn't even lift the covers off myself and had to call out the doctor to see me for the first time in my life. I even took voltarol which I cannot take (or any kind of anti-inflammatories) and have immediately seen my face react, with the pain only being fractionally better. Not worth it.

I am going to have some dinner and then I am going to lie down flat on my back for as long as it takes to feel better.

    The good:
In laws came and took Jelly out to play with her bubble gun on the park so she is exhausted and will be in bed on time and fast asleep hopefully. My new debit card arrived and have set up online banking so I can transfer money in there when it kicks out and earn 5% on the whole thing :) and had a final bill from NP0wer post dispute and they have messed up because they estimated the final read of the old meter which was fitted just before I left them, so have called them and am now looking at a credit of around £110 to add back into my savings :D

    The bad:
Jelly has been a little horror, pushing it very far today and really hurting me at times.

    The ugly:
I have not meal planned... :(

Oh Lilt, sounds rotten. Did you know the op might cause this much pain? Surely the hosp can be contacted - or your gp (dr, not Greying!) - for help?

Hope Jelly gets to sleep quickly(it was 9.27pm here last night...!) and that you get some sleep too. Gentlest of hugs xx

Hope you're feeling better Lilt and that Jelly has settled down.

Great news on the £110 credit from Np0wer. :T
