Lilt and Jellytots most excellent adventure...

Hello boys and girls1
I have only gone and done it... I bought my macbook. I feel sick. Blame the pain and pills on the fact that I just spent....
£939.60
...on a computer. Oh dear.
In other news, Jelly does not understand the concept of back pain and thinks jumping on me, and bouncing on the bed/kicking me is fine. Meanwhile Him watches her in between playing games online, gets mad at me for getting ratty when she is hurting me a good deal & just... sits... there... letting... her... do... it
To give the boy credit, he has fed, watered & bathed her today. And he locked her out when prompted by placing her kitchen across the living room door effectively locking me away. AND he has alerted me to a YNAB £7.49 deal on Steam today for 1 day only. If anyone wants a bonafide bargain there it is right there. I paid £28 and that was so worth it..
I am feeling ok. My painkillers aren't working, feels like I have been hit in the back with a sledgehammer, but I persist. Few days like this is well worth the hopeful result
I shall be back I am sure, but Happy New Year to all who have popped in thus far and who continue to pop in and support me over the next year. I love you all dearly and I wish that you all get the happiness, luck and love you deserve in the next 12 months.xx

Maybe he just didn't think about the effects from jelly's actions? Sometimes things like this is thoughtlessness rather than intentional, it doesn't make it any better though. But I'm so glad that you're ok (ish) and hopeful.
Did you buy in store or online? It's sickening isn't it (context for anyone not in that conversation, I just bought my laptop for a similar amount), but you'll feel better tomorrow. It's ok to be glum about it.0 -
It really is. I know you share my pain. I don't think it is ever going to be okay until I have the *correct* amount of money back in my bank again which is going to take some serious YNAB magic and some serious food creation.
I AM PLOTTING AND SPREADSHEETING TONIGHT. THE END. :rotfl:

Sorry totes did not respond to anything then.
Yes, I don't think either of them realise the kind of pain it is. Mainly because I am usually in pain and usually staunch about it..
And I bought it online, and due to the fact that half a dozen parcels have gone missing and my post was sat on the stairs in the building with a cheque in there and a WiiU game.. waiting to be stolen once again this afternoon, it is being delivered to work! I could have done it in 12 0% installments if I wanted the same delivery address. but frankly I do not. May as well pay up now and make the money up as hard and fast as possible.

Oh Lilty........
I know if anyone is going to cope with all this...... it'll be youBut golly, how I wish for once you'd just get a bit of actual RL support......
However, good to hear that you've treated yourself, because you'll get the worth out of itYou'll make it earn it's keep
And you'll make sure that the budget balances...... erm, eventually :rotfl:
Hennnnnoooooo (whilst we still can) to the Jellytotster and here's to you crafting a brilliant 2015 for you and your family Lilty

Sorry you are in more pain today. If that persists, please see the hospital about extra pain relief.
I think the only option you have with HIM is to keep talking about how much pain you are in and how he needs to do more re keeping Jelly entertained and away from you. When I had my EPAC operation, DH had forgotten about it the next day and had to keep being reminded to do things for me/keep DS2 from jumping all over me, so I feel your pain. At least my DH had an excuse!! Wish I lived closer so I could look after her for you and give you some proper rest.
Good for you on buying the macbook. It wasn't like it was a rash decision!
Happy New Year lovely lady. Gentle hugs (for the back). XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I spent 3 and a half hours, and got logged out of the secure checkout SIX times before I finally clicked the OK button on *the one*
lollll. I will make it work for me, and I shall appreciate it every single day when picking it up as it is light and mobile. After over a year of this one being on one hinge and 3+ months of it being on no hinges and finally borrowing a monitor to have a screen at all, I can honestly say there will be so much love and care going into my new baby. I had £650 in the fund for it, and the further £300 can be corrected this month if I work exceedingly hard at not spending anything.
That said, I keep forgetting that there is a magical £3600 plus almost £100 interest hitting my account in 5 day time. But my YNAB brain has me hardwired to not see that as my money. It's off-budget until the 5th and so not real to me at all right now.
The fact I just spent almost £1000 in one fell swoop, and still have a collective £1100 in my banks at present WITHOUT the aforementioned just goes to show me how far I have come.
I am so excited to have my new baby all set up. And still feeling very sick at how much it cost. Off to research bombproof cases, and then see if I can upgrade them to Jellytotproof.
Will be back to do an Ali-OK update a la SuperDave and then I am off to watch some fighting and play on the WiiU until the wee hours and pay for it tomorrowxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR LILTY to you and yours. I pray that 2015 brings you all you wish for and although you are in physical pain as this one ends, you are ending it on a high in other ways. God bless xxx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Happy new MacBook Lilt! :T
My DH loves his and it is incredibly pretty, however he didn't go about buying his in the sensible way you did. My DH managed to fall over the kitten with his old MacBook (by old I mean about 2 and a half yo - old to the gadget boys among us) and break it. Home insurance wouldn't pay out on it but he had already ordered & received the replacement. Cue much shouting from me. _pale_ But apparently it was ok because it's on finance. I told him if he's so careless with it again he is NOT getting another one (especially since it's not paid for!).
Hope your back starts feeling better soon & that Jelly can be convinced to jump somewhere else. Have a great night & here's to a wonderful 2015. :beer:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Hi Lilty, Happy New Year and MacBook! You will love it I'm sure!
I'm sorry I missed some posts and had to go back and re-read. Sorry re. Your pain. Two year olds don't understand do they. When I had a mc and was bleeding badly DD was about the same age and wouldn't get in the car etc so we could get to hospital. They just don't understand and our dear OHs just don't seem to be able to pull it together. I think it's because they are so used to us driving the organised bus. I've started being a bit more pathetic, playing dumb, just plain leaving things where they drop as I realised I've made a rod for my own back (pardon the simile). Also I make more of a fuss than it is, shout ow really loud etc, overplay things - I've stopped being such a martyr and started demanding the attention deservedand it does get results (mostly) and is quite fun :rotfl:
Glad you treated yourself to your MacBook. How exciting. You really deserve it. Make sure you keep it safe. My DN just dropped water on his - luckily insurance replaced it. I bought a back up drive in the summer so I just plug it in and the time machine backs everything up. Feels safer as I keep all the photos on my iMac. I am sure you'll be telling me lots more I can do very soon.
Have fun and feel better soon. Don't forget a loud ow and some tears can make 2 year olds (and boys) take care of you.
