  • Lilt what a beautiful little family you are, you should be very proud.

I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you have a fantastic new year.

    Take care.x.
  • Lilly! I've seen you at last! You, jellytot and him are gorgeous and now I know who I'm writing to! I'm so glad you had a lovely Christmas together. DD and I had a lovely day yesterday as well. It was a peaceful warm and huggy day with us and the pets. We saw my parents later in the afternoon, mum is 76 and Dada is 81. We make the most of them!! DS comes over tomorrow with his fiancee who is lovely!

Nite nite to the three of you! Xx

  • Wow, Hi everyone!!

:o:o:o:o I outed myself good and proper eh. Still, they were pictures just made for sharing. We had the best time and it is written in each picture. All three of us were spoiled in a way I personally haven't been since I was probably around 10!

Thank you all for your kind comments about my family. It is great to write and share things this year. Compared to last year when I started my diary, things are so so much better. It may not be perfect and I still don't have all the answers, but I do know that what we are doing is working, even if it is unconventional in the eyes of most.

Whilst I am reflecting, and reading of peoples families, and traditions, I can't help but wonder what things will be like 12 months from now. I expect that at least one of my two lovely grandparents will have departed this earth. I sincerely hope that my mum receives the all clear from her 5th and 6th bouts of cancer. Maybe I will be contemplating genuinely adding another to our little family, or maybe it will have disbanded slightly more. I hope not the latter, but what will be will be as they say. I hope to have just filled up another savings account, and to have the odd *nice* thing here and there, like a nice solid new chopping block, and some new towels (there is nothing like dreaming big eh? :rotfl:)

Most of all, I hope that I will still be here, with all of you lovely people supporting and cheering me on. I hope you know, as we come to the end of the year, just how much strength I have taken from your posts, support and help this last 12 months. I honestly don't know where I would be if I hadn't escaped here the day after Him left. You are all, even you lurkers (I see you! and whilst I think of lurkers, I must say RIP to lovely RosieBen who passed away a few months ago.. I miss her silent thanks.) greatly greatly appreciated. If I have given back even a tiny fraction of the support and friendship I have received, then I have done well as a human being this year.

I am off, to dream big dreams. Maybe even tea towels & ridiculous new serving spoons to add to my list of *nice* things. We all need more spoons.

Thanks everyone. I adore the very bones of you. <3 xx

  • Lush post Mrs. Don't know where we'd be without you and I think I speak for many when I say we are lucky to have you on this board.

You have a lovely attitude to life and I'm sure there will be many more surprises in the next 12 months. What happens won't define you, but how you deal with it will.

Much love to you and Jelly (and even a high five to HIM coz I'm feeling gracious :p) Xx

Absolutely beautiful family you have Lilt. Christmas is all about having great family time and reflection of the year that almost gone and the year to come. You have achieved all the above and you are fantastic person for doing what's best for you and Jelly regardless of how conventional or not it is. All the best for 2015 and lets hope your mum gets all clear!!
