Just popping by, I may have totally got the wrong end of the stick her but you can make paneer. GP knows how. I bought a new mum set from pound land with a muslin in but have yet to use it

Lilty - I'll put the same thing on my diary, but I just wanted to warn you before you went out the door on a trek to HB on the industrial estate. I think that the choccy bunnies were 'left over' from easter - they were marketed as 'malt-easter mini-bunnies' (link shows you what pack looks like). They were in our HB before we went away (boxes and boxes of them) but I couldn't find them this week - I suspect the cake decorators of our county had descended en masse! So unless you were going to HB anyway, I'd give them a ring to see if they have them in stock in your branch. I would hate for you and the Jellytotster to be disappointed because of something that I mentioned
Greying x
PS - supersaver is right - you can make paneer at home. You have to start with a lot of milk for very little cheese at the end, and have a plan for the resultant whey. It does however make a product superior to that which you find in the shopsAnd yes, I have seen paneer in a$da, sains & mrT's - it is usually stuffed next to the feta in our branches - only ever one brand (can't remember off the top of my head), white pack with yellow and light green writing - plus our m&$ have it (their own brand), usually about £1.50 per pack. hth

I found feta, halloumi, gouda, buffalo mozzarella, everything you could think of... Just not paneer. Don't have an M&$ or Waitflower nearby either but in terms of making it... I wish I had the energy but I am just about to embark on yet another giant cook off to provide myself with some meals this week without too much drama. The ketogenic diet sure takes a lot of work in the kitchen. And I am not even sure how my dairy free tummy would cope with paneer!!
On that note as well, thank you so much for dropping in GP with your HB news. I love the place for so much more than cheap chocolatebut we are going nowhere today thanks to the monsoon like rain we have!! The bunnies would sadly not be any good for my little dairy free monster but having just gone through her box of treats and found a choc santa, a choc bunny, choc orange buttons, raisins and apple, countless gelatine free fruit squidgies, dairy free chocolate log rolls.. dairy free shortbread... not to mention tonnes of custard.. I don't think she will be dismayed at all
Disclaimer: The choc santa shows you how often she gets this stuff. Theres piles of fruit too which she prefers
Right. Cinnamon and orange beef stew beckons my slow cooker. Also some more chicken thighs need rubbing with the worlds most complicated spice mix and slow roasting. xx

We have the same monsoon. Atrocious weather for May!!
Wish my two preferred fruit to chocolateXx

Cinnamon and orange stew sounds every so christmassy!
We've only got persistant drizzle at the moment but it's enough to stop me putting out the jam stall.Credit card respend 2551.58 (15/02/17)0 -

My DH is in a similar position, he has had the same head pain/migraine for the last 4 years (his current diagnosis is chronic unilateral headache/migraine) - the start of all this was shingles in and around his eye that was not treated correctly and so the virus travelled down his optical nerve and has damaged all the nerves on one side of his head.
He is on medication to keep his pain under control but it never goes away.
His only options left are also botox injections or microvascular decompression as some of the pain he has is linked to his trigeminal nerve.
Please make sure you get some support as everyone needs someone they can talk to.
My husband has attempted to take his life before - I do understand and would forgive him as I know how debilitating chronic pain is for him and others.
Eager Elephant .. Thanks ever so much for the msg ((((( hugs))))) back to birth you & your DH, I know it breaks my DH heart to see me suffer when I'm having very bad days and there is nothing he can do to help, so I, sure you find it just as difficult. Totally empathise with your DH , chronic pain just takes over every aspect of normal daily life .. It's tough.
My diagnosis has been quite complex as they originally were just saying it was chronic intractable daily migraine due to post viral complications, however they haven't responded to any normal treatment options and back in Feb I requested a 4th opinion and the new consultant admitted me for a week of full on testing were they identified that on top of the above I also have a very rare condition called idiopathic intercranial hypertension , which means the pressure in the fluid around my brain is severely raised with an unknown cause- outcome I am no subject to very regular lumbar punctures to reduce the pressure. In a weird way it feels better to have a more complete diagnosis as at least I know I'm not going crazy & there really is something physical going on if that makes sense.
Thanks again for you kind words.liltdiddylilt wrote: »EE it breaks my heart to read about your poor DH. I just can't understand how he copes. I don't blame him for trying to take his own life either. I have these migraines for a maximum of 3 days to a week. I can't cope after the first hour. I have to go to bed. He must have such strength!

Lilt I'm hoping to buy a slow cooker soon, what one do you have and is it easy to clean? A lot of ones I've seen are a nightmare to clean and it puts me off! xxxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
