I don't swim. Which is funny because I have heard hippo's are very graceful swimmers. But I am more drowning than swimming most of the time. :rotfl:

Scuba you sound hardcore. I daren't ask what your fitbit says today :rotfl:

I remember a QI where StephenFry told them that hippos can't swim and tha t the bbc clip of a dozen hippos swimming in a perfect circle was just cgi. And if you drop them in the deep end of the swimming pool, they drown! Eek!

On another cheeky note can you point me in the direction of any good websites for the ketogenic diet for migraines? I really feel your pain as u write about them as unfortunately i suffer with daily chronic migraine following meningitis 6 years ago and I am literally at the end of my tether with them - the only medical intervention left to try is 48 botox injections in my head & neck or surgical severing of the opcipital nerve :( neither of which are appealing

My DH is in a similar position, he has had the same head pain/migraine for the last 4 years (his current diagnosis is chronic unilateral headache/migraine) - the start of all this was shingles in and around his eye that was not treated correctly and so the virus travelled down his optical nerve and has damaged all the nerves on one side of his head.

He is on medication to keep his pain under control but it never goes away.
His only options left are also botox injections or microvascular decompression as some of the pain he has is linked to his trigeminal nerve.

Please make sure you get some support as everyone needs someone they can talk to.

My husband has attempted to take his life before - I do understand and would forgive him as I know how debilitating chronic pain is for him and others.

EE it breaks my heart to read about your poor DH. I just can't understand how he copes. I don't blame him for trying to take his own life either. I have these migraines for a maximum of 3 days to a week. I can't cope after the first hour. I have to go to bed. He must have such strength!

DFD can you send me your email address again hun? They bounced back!! xxx

Well I have been in Lidl, Sains, Asda... Not a one, and I asked staff... :( ah well. I have some halloumi. It can be fried and that is all I am bothered about apparently. I am not looking forward to some of the food on this menu. Orange and cinnamon beef stew?

Been a long day. Jinxed myself and Jellytot got me up at 6:30. She has been fairly excellent all day apart from throwing her dinner all over the floor. we went and did the other half of the shopping to hunt out the bits I couldn't find yesterday and get Hims stuff for the week and Jellys food too. Just went to Mr A's, and Mr S. I snuck in some little treats for Jelly from the free from section and I also got her a wooden toy and some more PP characters from Nanny to go in her tree house. She will be happy in the morning as I forgot to unpack them this afternoon.

For a weekend day which is normally my lazy days I have been surprisingly steppy.

Not much else to report. I am tired and have just made the most crazy concoction of indian ingredients to rub on a chicken thigh or two. It is going in the oven shortly to stop me cooking all day all week. Today I also made breakfast muffins with eggs, cheese, cream, parsley and seasoning. Had mackerel on a spinach salad with an EVOO, dijon & lemon zest dressing. Very nice too. And for my dinner I made a spinach salad with ranch dressing, and then some bacon burgers. Chopped, fried bacon added into beef mince, seasoned with worcester sauce, soy sauce, salt & garlic. Made into patties and (you guessed it) fried off. So I have a little stock of the excess from each cook off building up which should help me. T'ain't half expensive though!!

I think I am going to tell YNAB my troubles and hit the hay. Night guys xxx
