I am so lucky to have met such wonderfully lovely people on here. The list grows ever longer! What would we do without the internet eh?! I would be a lot poorer in all senses of the word.

Thank you as always for your posts and your support. I think certain things, especially my experiences the last few weeks are sent to show us what is important in life. I have a lot of blessings to count really.

Todayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I had baby cuddles!!! Mia is the most gorgeous little girl ever! Other than my own gorgeous girl that is. Really great time with my friend. I wish I had stayed longer. I also wish I had washed her pots etc. :D And maybe been able to take one of her two beaut babies with me so that she got a chance to go out and get some stuff done as the boogie-board to attach to the pram is useless and whilst 'practicing' I kicked it repeatedly in the house  - I did not have a jellytot as she woke with the beginnings of a cold. Not poorly, just snotty. She seems to have an inbuilt timer for everytime I go to my friends house... :/

Dinner post which I originally posted on GP's thread... I am proud :D
"I HAD to come in and show you THIS as I am rather proud of it. If you *cough* ignore the fact that there is *cough* minced beef in and pretend it is some lovely veggie quorn type mince... This is my donated marrow being put to good use! Stuffed marrow bake!

The mince is half a chopped onion, garlic cloves (x3!), 1 donated courgette, tomato puree, mixed herbs and extra basil, chopped tomatoes, salt & pepper, mild chilli powder & cayenne pepper... It is HOT and garlicky, but once the marrow has sucked the flavour it is pleasantly warming! Topped with a smidge of cheese after baking in the oven under foil for half an hour... it was delicious! Really, the nicest meal I have had in ages! And I have done a lot of out there cooking recently. "

Had a couple of erroneous spends today. I shuftied things around a bit. £7 of food items for next month(s), so it can come out of next months food budget. (Too good an opportunity to pass up on Jellys cereal & marg) and also a £5 bathmat. I threw the old one away but decided against the £9 one. This one is just as good and has a rubber bottom so sticks! :D In total £5,40 on bread, cows milk & soya milk x4. Paid with my savings bank account, so will move that across, and the rest on Thursday payday.

Will ask permission to post a pic of Princess Beautiful :D

In other news, there is no other news. Things ticking along... Him off home tonight after our incredible dinner, and back Tuesday daytime for 2 UFC viewings :D nice to have him here, but nice when I get to decamp to the bedroom at 8pm with my coffee, elec blanket and laptop.

    Hugs!!

  • Wow the marrow looks fab! You are right to be proud! I've already had my tea but that's made me feel hungry again! I'll be trying that one day soon.

Enjoy your 'alone' time as it may be limited! I echo everyone else whereby only you can decide re 'Him' and we will support you whatever.

So jealous of your baby snuggles! I get to meet a new baby in our family when we go visiting next week :D. She'll be 15 days old then! Can't wait for cuddles Xx

Oooh I do love a good baby snuggle Lucky. It made me SO broody. Not the right time yadda yadda... I will just have to keep on snuggling the steady stream my friends are providing me with. Next up is 11th November, a boy. Followed on Christmas Eve by a girl! These are from home though so 250 miles away! Still managing to cost me an arm and a leg mind you and not even born yet!

Today has been a noisy day. New neighbours a couple of floors up, for the last few weeks all has been mostly quiet. Today however, all day has been crashing and banging. Whatever has been happening it culminated in one or the other of the couple who have a baby  slamming the door so hard my windows shook, and smashing every hall light and bulb on the way down. Glass everywhere across every step and landing... My favourite neighbour has been instantly out there brushing it all up <3 love her! Meanwhile half full cans of beer are being thrown out of windows upstairs, hitting my window ledge on the way down and leaving me with the lovely scent of lager... Classiest building everrrrrrrrr.

Thanks all for your support ref Him. I am going to let the decision rest a bit and see how things are in the meantime. Want jelly to settle into new nursery first!

    SFD #15 today! :D

mum used to force feed us marrow stuffed with mince as children - why oh why did it never look like that? I' *almost want go and buy one. so good you got to cuddle mia, I know we are hardwired to adore babies, and that smell is the most primal of senses, but wow, it can knock your socks off :) is such a powerfully wonderful thing to be trusted enough to safe-keep another's child, a real sister bonding thing.

Next door has a baby 4 months old now and I would LOVE to cuddle her, but she only has eyes for her lovely mama and my children, whenever I say hello she has the most enormous grump on, it's so funny :)

your neighbours sound really very gorgeous, if a joint household is on the cards, is there a possibility of it being one where the lager does not runneth freely from the sky (must take lovely neighbour with you though).

*but unfortunately scarred for life on the marrow front
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

Bless your cotton socks, being all broody <3

    Ahoy there shipmates!!!

Am sat in bed (since 8), as is customary :D leccy blanket not on as I have had the heating on  to dry off the towels that refused to dry on the airer today. After washing at 90 degrees and using all that energy to make them ridiculously clean, there was no way I was going to let them start smelling funky! So my penance is no leccy blanket & my minnie mouse onesie instead. I went outside... on the street... to the bins in a Minnie Mouse Onesie. With no make up. And slippers. I belong in this building... :rotfl:

On the cooking front, sorry for making you hungry!! I am a fairly good cook Peaty, but lazy. I don't get my skills out often, except recently with my tiny budget and meal planning! Today I used free cooking apples to make two apple crumbles. Bit of demerara sugar, flour & marg for the topping, and just apples, sugar & cinammon for the insides. I overstewed the apples though, first time making.. and it is more sauce than chunky apples!! I also made melting moment biscuits from the very original Be-Ro cooking booklet my mumma has had since before I was born! I can make those things in my sleep. For dinner I made cajun chicken, with a jar of Mr A sauce, and it was disgusting. I was very happy that there were 6 chicken legs in my £2.85 pack from Mr L though... 6 portions :D can't be beat! Course 2 of them I have to scrape minging cajun sauce off... tho

Him - appeared briefly post work today, awkward Sunday train times. When he had gone, I came into my bedroom to find a beautiful card propped up - one of those little plastic ones. It said 'You mean the world to me' and goes on... Then when I put Jellytot to bed, I found another one to 'Daughter'. Really gorgeous. Progress. :T

Lucky - yep, really... MOTD! Tonight too. I am a mad Chelsea fan much to my dads dismay. He is a Notts Forest fan, that being my hometown. Speaking of which, saw in the paper today (national news) about a 10 strong gang of blokes from Nottingham getting a combined 105 years in prison for drug dealing. I thought.. yeah I will definitely know someone in this story... Kinda like the proverbial needle in a haystack, but sure enough, 'Itchy Fido' from school (he had a skin condition) has gone to prison for 5 and a half years. He was the year above me and a massive bully. From a rough family... nasty piece of work. Unsurprising.

Peaty according to the 2 coppers who knocked on my door today to ask me if I had had any electricals tampered with, I shouldn't open my door unless I have to, and should definitely not leave anything out in the corridor, and should be very careful. Lovely to be told that when home alone with a 2 year old. The locks are on the door tonight, chain too. I am safe :D and mercifully all is quiet.

Am back on the old version of the forum for the minute. Can't cope with the thread bugs. My emails have been going mental with instant notifications to threads I wasn't even subscribed to! Had to come back on here to sort it all out and kinda liking the retro feel.

Off to post my positive things for the day in the positive challenge! xx

  • Lovely progress with HIM :T. We can award HIM 5 star points for that one!!

Probably the worst thing ever for a Geordie to admit, but I'm not really interested in football!! to old school pals though!

You and Jelly stay safe now, you hear?! Xx
