Sounds like your day was good, Mine wasn't too good, started with me waking up at 7am falling back to sleep till 10 and snoozing my alarm a million times before rushing to leave for work, only my drive I saw a Eddie truck I don't see many of them down south so I do get excited when I see one.

glad to hear Jelly has turned a corner for you, and that you are on the road to getting some relief from your pain...

hope all is okay in the world of MSE

So jel of your figures and sensible advance planning pots Missus-- I dread to think where my money will appear from come x-mas ! Major kudos to you on both that and also the stuff with jelly - your persistence and practical measures appear to work wonders, and as you mentioned in the past, sleep (enough sleep) is such a major factor for her in her behavior it is probably the key to everything, amazing that she's been sleeping again so well and given you the rest time you also need to function, win win all round really - she sounds such a complete cherub for the large part:)
have a great 'last day' at work before your dreaded break :P annnd... if i don't catch up with your meanwhile (cos not sure if computer is coming with me to see my 'rents).. then I wish you and the Lilty household a happy happy birthday extravaganza and a very:easter::EasterBun:easter_os :heart2: thanks for all your support as always, loadsa love. x x

    Crazy people... :rotfl:

Levi It's been 2 and a half years since I joined this place having been in debt for 3 years. 2 years since I got out of debt. and 2 long years of building stuff up, switching, budgeting, and making money out of every last place I can :) One day you will be there :)

Have been messing about with bank accounts tonight, sorting out interest added etc. Just under £15 interest for last months figures. All moved to the emergency fund. Every little helps against that clothing deficit.

£10.16 wombled :) will help me stay within budget on the shopping this month as I have already eaten a huge chunk of the food budget  beginning of the month stock up :)

Today was exceedingly stressful at work. End of the tax year always bring dozens of clients out of hiding, just following up on recommendations made to them practically a year ago at the beginning of the tax year.. to try and get it done before the end of the year. Absolute madness, plus bosses both on holiday from today onwards for 2 weeks/1 week respectively.

My to do list was enormous anyway, then boss started piling it on and on and on, all with to do by 'end of next week'. Turns out she totally forgot my holiday  but it is ok, I am still allowed to have it... :rotfl: Got masses of the list done but was totally derailed for over an hour and a half by some drama from another colleagues work which got dumped on me because I was the unfortunate to pick up the phone to it. All resolved. £79k tax free cash transferred to clients bank account this afternoon thanks to moi. Shame I couldn't give my bank details...

So am officially on holiday. For 12 days :)
Tomorrow sees my friend and her gorgeous 5 year old DD coming over to see us and have some coffee and a play. :) then in the afternoon we are off to the park.

Next week we have soft play lined up and a trip to the excellent park with my mum and dad. Also a trip to home bargains and the range, and aldi and waitrose whilst daddy is here to drive ;)

Off to sleep my wee pickles. xx

Sounds like my day Lilty, bank was manic just because we are closed tomorrow everyone was panicking and rushing to withdraw their money... And the arguments and frosty behaviour I have had today because of the cheque clearance taking two extra days due to the bank holidays I don't plan to Bank holidays need to blame Easter...

    Goodnight sleep well

Ok.. so today is the first day of a 12 day holiday. Him was supposed to look after Jellytot and give me a relaxed day. Had arranged to see a friend and her daughter (they came over for coffee and a play) at 10:30am. At 8am I awoke to the noise of the small knocking on her door and shouting. Got up to go and let her out... Opened the door and started yelling for Him. A sea of sick and poo greeted me. Clothes and blankets covered (luckily nothing on the bed at all!) and the carpet was wall to wall disgusting. He whipped the blankets etc out and just dumped them in the bin. Not very MSE but frankly one 3 year old fleece, a pair of slightly too small pyjamas with a hole in and some old bed socks were not worth keeping or even wasting washing powder on. A bunch of teddies and dolls got dumped in the machine.. Small chucked in the shower to have a good scrub and I started on operation clean up. Soda Crystals, Vanish & Small & Mytee in boiling water... I scrubbed the carpet wall to wall for 2 straight hours and three bowl loads of the washing solution before it started to come up clean when I squeezed the bubbles out of the carpet. I then vacuumed and nearly killed the machine, it was sucking so much water out! - so then had to empty the entire machine out and scrub it and set it all out to dry!! Carpet is cleaner than it has ever been but I have actually rubbed my fingerprints off, despite wearing heavy duty rubber gloves. Sore fingers

Think someone accidentally sneaked some dairy into madams dinner last night despite everything saying dairy free. That seems to be the only explanation for the mess and very distinctive smell. She's been fine all day!!

Friends were over only half an hour after the original time in order to give me time to shower!! Sat and drank coffee and ate biscuits while the kids trashed the house  what is poo and trashed toys between friends :rotfl:

Not a SFD. Spent £3.25 on about 6 packets of biscuits hoping to please everyone but they are mostly all still unopened so that was a waste of money. Never mind, live and learn and eat lots of biscuits myself later ;)

Other than that I have spent the afternoon chilling on here catching up on diaries, reading some of my book and listening to music. Locked madam out and Him has been looking after her whilst I just get some much needed chill time.

Diaryland is so quiet with so many people on holiday :D

Thanks Knit Witch. Could eat my body weight in easter eggs today. Fingers are sore typing  so keep having to switch to others :rotfl:

Jelly fell asleep on me about half an hour ago and was so completely gone I managed to strip her off and get her into pyjamas without her waking. She's in bed now. Not eaten much all day bless her. To be honest I think her tummy is still suffering the after effects of the gastroenteritis of a few weeks ago because everytime she has bounced on the bed since then she has complained her tummy is sore :( and she does seem to react to the tiniest little bit of dairy in anything in a very bad way :(

So... now I have a quiet evening ahead. I was planning on taking her down to the shop as she has been going to bed later since the clock change and I needed to get some bread but instead I shall bake some as I can't go out and leave her here alone and lovely neighbour who usually babysits is living around the corner with a friend for a while :(

Him has hopefully got a bit of a promotion at work! :j he finds out when he goes there tomorrow so he said he would pop in after his shift to let us know how it went. If he does manage it, it will be more guaranteed hours for him, still only on the days he can do around Jelly nursery and my working/needing him here. It would mean him managing the shop all day on a Sunday from open till close and would give him a hourly rate boost for each hour he worked as the supervisor when there wasn't a manager in. Not only that but his mum has a new job starting the 20th and is finally moving out of care work and instead has a job that suits her down to the ground. 25 hours a week so a few more than she currently does, and working 5 hours every weekday afternoon so messing up her chances of coming over to see Jelly weekdays, but that will get sorted I am sure. It will earn her a lot more money :) And she will get a lot more time off :) and overtime in school holidays despite it being part of her contract and having a salary. She is very excited and about time she moved out of what she was doing. Killing herself for nothing.

So all in all good work news here. If Him's job pans out, we might be able to look at moving into a house together before winter this year. :)

Fingers crossed Him gets the extra hours and fantastic news about your MIL job as well.

    Take care hun.x.
  • Sorry to hear about the poo and vom explosion. Hope she gets through the night without episode and you get the quiet night you deserve.

Yay to promotions and increased wages Xx

PS, unopened packets of biscuits are never a waste of money :p.
