DITTO THIS TO THE MAX! i can't even look at a sheep in the field cos it makes me very 'sad' (to quote jelly haha) but yep- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Oh I just thought it was me that was crazy Levi. Thanks for joining me on the kooky step :rotfl: :heart2:
I just budgeted out Aprils income (all in already for the first time in ages!) and I appear to have £264 left. Thats after the £395 usual savings, a slight increase in the c-tax, my first full months Phone/TV/Broadband in 8+ months, £50 to take-aways/restaurants because of taking my parents out, all the usual DD's... M'confused. Will bang it towards the defecit in my emergency fund from the clothes splurge. By the end of this month my bonus etc will be in, plus the 11.8% increase in my wages. So that covers the splurge entirely, but if I can keep this month super tight (£80 budgeted for fun spending for Jelly) then I might actually be able to cover more than half of the splurge before it even comes inon top of usual savings.

well done on the pre budgeting of april, stick the extra in the holding fund category and if its still other at the end of the month transfer it....
don't forget ladies and gents only 5 days left of the ISA year...
I hope April is a far better budgeting month for you Lilty, I am not sure it will be for me due to my holiday but I have just been informed by email that my refund for Next has been accepted and put back into Paypal so hopefully I will see that soon, and because of the BH weekend, I think I get some of my DWP payments early hopefully they will appear before friday and not after so that 'should' cover my holiday spending... let see, its just going to be a refresh page moment just like I do on payday, sadly I have had mine on the 20th so only 20 days to go lol....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. In my line of work we just cannot forget the ISA year. We have a designated driver to drive over to Fidelity's head offices to hand over the last ISA apps with cheques attached before the deadline ticks over on Thursday which is their official close due to the bank holidays! why our clients leave it until the last minute every year despite being advised on the 6th to get it in for the year... seriously.
As for the photo, it wasn't too bad, you shouldn't have worriedI am just a sensitive wee soul!

Yes Lilty - we are open till 7pm thursday and 4pm Saturday for the last rush - I can't get my head around why they all come in on April 2/3/4/5 to open one when they have had the preceding 364 days to do it....

Good evening diary, and diary-dwellers.
I am in bed and almost ready and relaxed enough to head off to sleep. Have treated myself with an iChoons voucher that my mum gave me for Christmas and invested in an e-book I have been wanting for ages. Have started reading it and that shall be one of my three April commitments. To finish my book, study it properly and take it in effectively.
My second commitment shall be to relax the reins ever so slightly and have a guilt free week next week. I've budgeted more than enough to do various things for Jellys birthday and also my dads birthday treat on top of it. I also plan to get my momma some flowers.
Finally, I commit to using my ice-pack religiously along with tiger balm and pilates to manage my pain more effectively. I've also committed to a further osteopath session which will incur a cost of £20 myself. Need to put some work into myself.
Today at work was good. Got GABRIEL returns completed including the bane of my existence, RMA-K :rotfl: #IhateRDR - then followed up by smashing some of my to-do list in the remaining 2 hours of my day. One more day to go and 12 days off :j
Sent my mum off to research Ali-OK's magic daligas and the cheapest electricity supplier for my grandparents house now that Pop is in a home and Nanny's income has been cut. She has saved £355 a year between the two of them (£300 on the gas alone!) :j and has sent off to have a water meter fitted, and a full benefits check-up by the social team which will hopefully get my Nan some of the income she so desperately needs now that Pop's care is taking a chunk of his pension. Mum finally getting on top of it and has reduced the outgoings by over £100 a month so far for her.
Jellytot - trial run involving no door handle on the inside of her room and taped down blinds to cut the light resulted in... 12 hours sleep for the little un!! :T which in turn made her a much more agreeable child both at home this morning, at nursery and then this afternoon/evening before bed. She was a delight when I got home. Needed some coaxing to eat her pasta once she had picked out all of the chorizo and peppers and eaten them :rotfl: but she ate a satisfactory amount resulting in 'My fabourite food is custard mummy!' :rotfl: thank heavens for soya custard pots. Once done, she snuggled up on the couch with me and daddy and watched some cbeebies then asked for her pyjamas and bed. So after a wash of her grubby mitts and face (what do they DO at nursery!?!) off she went armed with a hot water bottle and a bottle of milk at precisely 6:30pm. Not a squeak out of her, and went in about 15 minutes later to retrieve a hardly touched bottle and move the hot water bottle off her chest where she had fallen asleep with it resting. Put it in bed at the side of her to keep her warmas her bedroom is FREEZING. Hooray for more sleep. Just wish I had gotten to sleep before 2am, so worried was I at closing the doors that I wouldn't hear her. Was convinced she would be up all night shrieking, but as it was she woke me up a couple of minutes before my alarm at 7 with knocking on her bedroom door
Scores on the doors.
1 Spend Free Day achieved - vouchers don't count ner
1 Lunch to Work achieved (seeded brown bread, ham, quavers and a pear and a banana)
4 miles walked
YNAB updated with all the DD's scheduled that have gone out, added interest and money shuffle completed.
Bank accounts checked to confirm no nasty surprises. On the contrary, have already received £40 from SH for yesterdays Osteo appt. and FU £140 warm homes sat in my account too. Both transferred over to Emergency fund.
Have been putting £50 a month into the Xmas fund since January, and £10 a month into Xmas food. Spent £39.98 last month on 2 xmas presents worth £144Him's paying me back for one of them as that is for his mum.
I also have pots for line rental (paid annually) which is £25 a month. Should be enough once needed in August when it *should* be due. BUT after all the mess ups and it taking till November to get them to stop charging me line rental on top of the years line rental I paid... I don't honestly know what the last person to pick up my account did in order to fix it so it could be November before it becomes due or it could be July. Who knows. Not really fussed since I ended up being paid the money back for it anyway! This month is the first month in 9 months that I will have paid the full bill and not had some if not all of it credited :rotfl: I know how to complain :money:
The final pot is home insurance. A paltry £10 a month should see me with an overly large budget for home insurance but I planned for a possible move to a house which would cost more to insureever hopeful me.
Anyways. Nuff ramblings for one night. I bid you adieu as I am off to sleep. See you tomorrow.xx
