Hey Hopeful- glad you hear a more positive update, its great that your son stepped up to the plate in the situation and shows you do have a valuable support network waiting in the wings, its quality not quantity too.. you've obviously raised great kids with loyalty and integrity. sorry that your class sucked.. no idea how you cope - it must be so hard to put on a strong front in front of a bunch of rowdy kids :( i really admire you for pulling it off. You're so right about them detecting the weakness, we used to do the very same thing to the teachers, little sods we were. I was far from an ideal student and had my moments of being a terroriser - I always was a bit too gobby but only when running with the pack. We had an RE teacher (sorry) that we actually made cry once - she fled the classroom- so I'm feeling totally horrible about that now (hey, is that you karma??!) gosh.. i wish I could be more help on this front but just do what you always do, if you haven't lost it up until (and including) now you must be doing something right!
hope you get a good nights sleep and that your daughter is feeling OK and less upset - i'm sure she totally rocks and her new hair just adds to her fantasticness :) Night Hopeful, loaaaaads of love :heart2:

  • I feel a bit bad now too hopefuljoy, my science class made a teacher cry and she subsequently left after a run in with me :(

In my defence I was right and she was wrong, probably why she left. And it was proven by a doctor that I was correct!

    Morning all

Hopeful what a truly fabulous young fella you have raised, obviously. Bless his heart. He and DD are credits to you, and only you. I still stand by DD. She did what was best for her at the time. She is no sheep, and she will grow up to be a very strong woman :)

As for your class at work... my sister delighted in torturing two of her teachers, a french teacher, and a social studies teacher. She and her class gave the social studies teacher a nervous breakdown and had to fetch the head as the teacher sat rocking on the floor in the corner of the classroom and wouldn't/couldn't speak. We never saw her again. I apologise on behalf of all teenage students everywhere. They see a sign of weakness and they jump on it. Not to mention trying to look cool in front of others, and avoid being bullied themselves.. I don't know how anyone works in such a challenging environment. Well done you for keeping a poker face in front of them. I would be in the news within a week of teaching that age group. For beating a child to a pulp most likely... - I salute you.

Me&O is a terrible person :rotfl: and has the most awesome taste that I can't help but follow suit and spend much money :D don't feel bad. Feel great :D

Am at work and have been told that my letter of recommendation to a client was so good I am likely to be doing all future recommendations for healthcare.. Joy. I am not qualified :o but they go via an Adviser and a compliance manager so they are bomb proof before they leave the office. Suppose I should be happy. It is another string to my several bows ;)

Big hugs to all. Hope you have a lovely day. xxx
