Yeah, I used to be a 5 times a week girl too, although not for 3 hours at a time .
I'm lucky if I make it an hour in my gym these days when I go, but it seems that has the desired effect, so that's fine by me!:rotfl:

I started the 30 day shred dvds a little while ago which was awesome, but had to stop it when the heart & blood pressure scare came along, until I had the results. I shall be getting back into that too when everything is settled.

Are you able to swim with your back being so bad, Lilty?

:rotfl: - Me&O I tried the 30 day shred. I got 10 minutes into the 20 minutes of Day 1 on the basis setting... and I keeled over. And I could barely move for 5 days. On the 6th day I did all of day 2, and was so proud... until I couldn't move for a week. And so I gave up. So unfit.

Swimming is weird. To try and explain my back... I have no core. I literally am a flibbery jibbery wreck from bra strap to hips. The muscles have danced to the wrong sides, twisted and are on a near permanent state of red alert. So swimming.. you would think it would be nice to let the water take the weight. Instead it causes great pain. It is pathetic, as the first thing I tried was swimming thinking... this will be nice. I couldn't get out of the pool. I didn't have the required oomph to get off my back and back onto my feet. I used to do aqua aerobics and all manner of stuff. I am 28 going on 78. In fact we have a client in her 80's who goes for a half mile swim in the sea every morning from April to October. She is SO MUCH fitter than I. And pretty awesome!

Speaking of awesome and clients.. had a call today from one of our loveliest clients. Tried to put him through to boss but knew she was busy and sure enough she said no can you take a message. I asked him if I could and he cheerily said he could talk to another colleague instead. So I put him through to colleague as requested. Thought nothing more of it. 5 minutes later boss phoned from her office a few feet behind me. Could I do her a favour and make her a coffee (she never asks me this!) so she could compose herself to call back the client. Again didn't think much of it. Thought he had complained about something. Took the coffee in, and boss was in floods of tears. Lovely clients lovely wife, who boss only sat down and had a couple of hours with last week, had come over ill suddenly and died. Boss cried. I cried. SO sad. :( am heartbroken. She was 66. He is 67. They idolised each other and spent all day every day together. And boss set me off again after she phoned him as she told me he had said to her that he was glad she had gone first because imagine what she would have done if it were him. She would have gone to pieces. Very sobering thought.

Lucky am tucked up in bed and about to turn off and go to sleep. Exhausted, headache & sore throat very bad, and both sides of my glands are up but with all these odd nobbles down one side of my neck. Painful to touch. Am not feeling very troupery. If I don't go to work, I don't get paid. And that is an expensive day to lose. I muddled through and did enough work to make it seem presentable.

Hope you feel better soon too pickle! We need to ramp up the vitamins eh! xx

Right, am off to bed. My fingers are numb and white. Have the blanket on full blast and still have goosebumps and random shivering episodes as I have had all day. Kinda ruins the whole new work shirts thing when you cover it with 2 cardigans and a coat, plus a hot water bottle in the office :rotfl:

Really sad news about your client's wife Lilty. :(

Hope you are feeling better today, I get the 'nobbly neck' thing too when I get a baddy throat, so I feel your pain. I suffer from tonsilitis a lot, and really nasty bouts of it which quickly turn into strep throat. Touch wood, I haven't had it for a while now though. I've been freezing too - had to wedge a pillow behind me in bed last night to keep my back warm!

Yep, the shred nearly killed me the first (and second and third.....:o) time I tried it too! I loved that it was only 20 minutes long but how on earth jumping around and stretching for a bit can inflict so much pain in twenty minutes is mind boggling. I could feel it working pretty quick though, so I shall get back to it when I have the house to myself.

The eclipse makes me a bit sad to be honest, as I remember the last one well. I was with my much loved aunty who has since passed away after having a bleed in her brain one Christmas Day, so I will be thinking of her lots today. Ironically, they believe stress was a contributory factor in causing the issues which led to her death. The root of which, we didn't know until after she passed away, was spiraling debts she had gotten herself into and was hiding. :( More of a reason for me to get my life sorted out.

    Love to all

Well the eclipse was a total let down lol.. dunno about you but in south London there was nothing but cloud and it went a bit dull and dingy but nothing to write home about. OH MY GOD I'M BLINDED! it was not.

Noooo @ you being ill again.. blimmin awful when the sore throat strikes and you know a cold will follow. :( Sucky. You are being a proper warrior as usual though by continuing to rock it at work all the while. That is very sad news about the client's wife, I hope he is OK, it will be a whole different weird world for him without her :(

I'm sure you're nowhere near as heffalump as you imagine but you have to do what makes you feel better and often that is image related so I totally understand! And knowing you and how you seem to be able to take on anything and smash it to smitherines (in a good way) I am sure you will be strutting it all supermodel chic in no time (don't go that far though, euurgh). Vitamins always a good idea when on a diet but I know I'm preaching to the converted here and the B12 stuff with you and MeandO is very interesting.. I am learning a bit and wonder if that might be what is wrong with me?

Have a super duper weekend with the little curly-tot
    Loads love :heart2:.. Levi...x
