All caught up again!
Hopefuljoy, I'm sorry I wasn't around to support you when you needed it, but I'm glad you feel better about it now. I would only have echoed everyone else's posts anyway, but I think you, DD and DS have been totally in the right throughout.
I was a square at school. Just felt I should admit that.
I also haven't ever heard of Joe Brown.
I do know about Ms Summers though.

Alright. I've got a proper boo yah sore throat. I am in my jamas and I should be going out for a walk. I really should. Or at the very least cooking some food.
I am stating this right here and now.
I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT yesterday. I am a heffalump and it has crept up on me because I have been eating later, scoffing rubbish all day at work and generally doing all of the things the dieting book tells you not to. I am fed up to the back teeth of hating what I see in the mirror I am bored of my clothes not fitting me properly. I am eating too much sugar and I want to look BETTER even if it is just for me.
I am limited in terms of exercise. In fact I can walk, and that is all. And walk I do. 4 miles minimum on work days. 2 miles on nursery days. But I need to up the ante. So I am making a resolution here and now to make changes that will hopefully show results.
-Start cooking more SW meals
-Cut out the carp food, chocolate to be kept to a minimum when desperately required.
-Eat less bread
-Eat more veggies
-Up water drinkage
I shall look better shortly. It never takes me long to kick off the excess, but then I just build it back up. I need some sustainable fun mealsxx

I am also a heffalump!
Cutting out all sugar and all grains has an amazing effect on my body. So why do I not do it, eh? Wish I knew, cos then I could work on a solution.
We are off to Texas in 11 days. At least the airlines don't weigh you anymore!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
It's the lurker again. I am a little bit less of a heffalump than I was, but very un MSE I am going to slimming world. I gave up smoking 3 years ago and it was getting on for a stone a year  and I am only short. I have only lost 11lb so far but it makes me feel better. Can you hula hoop? I'm not sure if you can as I inow you have back trouble, I've just got a weighted hula hoop, I tried my daughters at the weekend and could do it so I thought it would be good for me, I can't run, dodgy hips but the hula is ok, different movement.
Oh and I also have a shopping trolley on wheels...well 2 actually, a pink one with cows and a grown up one with a moody black and white street scene on. Funny thing is though, when my kids were small I had one of those tartan ones to shove all the picnic stuff to take to the park and beach......wouldn't have a tartan one now though, that's for very old people, not just old like me:D
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Hello fellow heffalings!!
I used to be a champion hula hooper Dazi. I could walk around the house/garden effortlessly whilst keeping it spinning. Jump up and down... The tricks were endless. Unfortunately what I have is facet joint disease, caused by the couple of ruptured discs in my back. Basically when the discs have flattened, the knobbly bits either side of the lump of each vertebra (which are joints did you know?!) basically get pushed together. And whereas previously they allowed movement to the front, back, and left and right (so stand up, lean to either side, lean back, lean forward) they now allow limited movement to allow me to lean forward/sit but with great pressure on the joints, and basically no movement to the sides and backwards. So:
I cannot hula hoop
I cannot twerk
I cannot line dance or do the macarena or anything fun
And most of all I cannot do any exercise involving my waist. So add to that childbirth and stretch marks etc and my mama's unfortunate 'saddlebag thighs' and you have the unfortunate picture that is Lilt of late. I need to lose around a stone and a half to 2 stone. I'll do it. Somehow.
Thanks for delurkingI like it!!
apple I have genuinely no willpower, and that is why. :rotfl: 11 days... excitation!!! xxx
