BTW - I'm loving YNAB as well. I've trialled it but then bought it - today was my first real pay day to go through and it was great to watch the scheduled payments go through. I've watched the webinars and picked up loads of tips - in particular I've split my categories down into weeks - my pay is monthly but straddles the months. I'm hoping hat can keep a tighter rein on the spending if I go weekly rather than monthly.44 day challenge

Supersaver thank you so much for your lovely comments. I am a very lucky mum; she really lights up my world every single day. Most of the time I look at her and wonder how I came to make such a perfect little person with only a little help. Spoonfuls of luck and a lot to do with the sproglet herself I think. I could add half a dozen more to the mix but I enjoy her so much it seems silly to split the time between her and another. Maybe in a few years when she goes to school? (And when my life is a lot lot more on track than right now!)
Ninno - you inspired me so much I managed to find a 20% off code to the end of the month! You can't use it with referrals is my only sad point. I so wanted to do the lovely hohum a good turn!
If anyone wants to do it, go to www.youneedabudget.com/myadvisor and use the code camelsaver (yes really) to see your discount. Only valid til 31st July though. Apparently in June it was available for $15.99 on steam! Missed that beauty
In other news... the new nursery is BRILLIANT! There is a reason it got ofsted outstanding. Incredible facilities, a lovely staff, great ethos... I am in love. So much so that I have signed her up for the full 15 funded hours there. I know it is term time only, but I will pay for the out of term times, and it is cheaper than the current nursery (which is 'satisfactory' with ofsted btw) - so I have to give them notice. The only person I will really miss is one of the managers. I will budget in some goodies to take in for them at the end of August when Jelly will finish. No hard feelings, they just don't do the funding will be the way I go, rather than fussing over small things. I hope that the new nursery will be as good for Ellie as the last one has been in terms of confidence and speech. She is so much further on in just these 6 months that I can't help but think she will gain more confidence and become better at a lot of things a lot quicker at this place.
There is a moth batting at my head and driving me mad. I think it is my penance for roping Lucky into my dodgy hair discussions. She has lovely hair just so you all know...
I paid for Jellys shoes today. Perfectly budgeted for and paid in cash to me by my lovely mum this weekend. Then Him decided he wasn't taking no for an answer and paid too... He gave me the cash for the shoes, even though he knew they had been covered. I am leaving all but £2 of it in my purse (£2 at work for the eggs man tomorrow!) and then I shall transfer it to the jellytot fund. I'm hoping once my FD regular saver ends in January, that £1k of it shall go to her. Around £400 to a new much needed laptop, the rest to my emergency fund. By then I should also have a healthy start to that emergency fund and YNAB will be keeping me on track
I am off to sleep, me and my moth. I've taken some strong painkillers for my chronic back, 3 different types of antihistamines (as usual) and another tablet the doc has me on weekly for 6 months related to my allergies. But I feel a bit funny. Sometimes the painkillers make me a bit high. It will wear off in half an hour but I can't really see straight so off I toddle.
Night all xx

My little trick for orange coloured stains is to wash the clothes and then hang outside in sunlight with stain side on the outside.
A few hours later the stain should be gone - if still there wash and repeat.
Never had to do anything more than twice and rescued loads of clothes that way.0 -
Ah Lucky the Loreal model
I really cannot wait for her to start! I am beyond excited. I have to admit I am a bit nervous about saying she is leaving the old place though, like they will hold it against me/her and not treat her right for the 2 weeks.
The good news is, that we will get the deposit back that I placed in January for that place. Around the £115 mark I think. Straight to Jellytots own fund.
Gave in & went to docs this morning. I now have valium to add to my super strength codeine. Needless to say I was off my face at work but in far less pain than the last few days. The recommendations have been sent for my desk alterations. This equals £500 worth of new equipment. - nope... I managed to get the same stuff for just shy of £200 for the boss, so she is happy.
As for the orange colour stains; EE I unfortunately live in a 1st floor flat, and the garden is frequented by less than savoury types, and a whole lot of trees blocking out the light. I have to dry my clothes on airers in my bedroom with the windows pushed wide open. It works well for me, but sunlight doesn't really touch it until late afternoon.
My own personal saviour is Persil small & mighty. I also use napisan, and astonish stain remover crystals if necessary. Orange colours are harder to get out, but they usually go in a couple of washes when rubbed with Small & Mighty. (I wrote S & M then realised it wasn't a good idea...!) - these ones were really tricky due to the location of the stains, on ribbed pockets, and bows etc. It took a bit of bleach and some solid handwashing but they are good as new!
My trip to the docs this morning resulted in a taxi to work to stop me being 2 hours late and having to do even more overtime after work on a Friday. Since it was already a spend day, I bought Him a £14.50 (half price) red light therapy mouth ulcer treatment wand from the pharmacy which he has been after. He struggles with them badly for weeks on end. I then sent him to get 2 loaves of bread & he returned with those, frozen chips & a dinner of fish and chips for the 3 of us. So a spendy day, but he bought the last few bits with his own money & didn't use the £10 note I gave him for bread so I got that back. Still have to factor in that wand
Must pop to the bank and put the cash in in the morning.
Was nice to have dinner with Him & Jellytot all at the same time early. He's gone off home to play poker with his mates or something til later then home afterwards. I meanwhile have a soundly sleeping jellytot, a cup of soya hot chocolate & my electric blanket on to soothe my back. All the standby lights are off etc so I am saving money
haha.
Off to peruse more diaries, update my signature and sort YNAB out
Night! xx

Hey lilt,
I am most definitely still here
Gorgeous pictures of your little girl - what a cutie!
Really sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble with your back. Hope the valium does the trick, and you get a good rest with it.
Sending hugs,

Yay hello there!!
Thank you so much. She is currently a poorly little girl. Roaring temp, poorly tummy. She has been sleeping fitfully and I have just had to strip her down to just her nappy and put her under a thin blanket as she is so hot
she has cheered me up no end though. I've just spent 3 minutes wetting myself laughing outside her bedroom door listening to her dirty little giggle. "I know! FEET!" over and over, giggling away everytime she says it. I had to go in to see what was going on. She was still in bed, still under the covers, and as soon as she saw me she started it all over again, giggling so hard. I have no idea what that is all about. Maybe she is delirious, but she is hilarious!
Valium has been a wonder. Haven't had to take any today, yesterdays has done me so much good. Kept up with my codeine & managed to do 5 hours of ironing and finally remove 3 months worth of ironing from a giant pile in my bedroom. It is all neatly pressed and stored away. Jellytot has more clothes than me! A ratio of about 4-1 in fact. Lol. I also scrubbed the kitchen including the oven and descaling the kettle, and the bathroom. Since the oven is only a week old, it didn't take much haha!
SFD #13 for me. Haven't been anywhere have been so busy and Jellytot has spent most of the day asleep or vegged out on the floor with toys. MIL is supposed to fetch her tomorrow for a stay-overnight Sunday night but if she is still off she won't be going.
Hugs back to you Gib, and everyone else
off to report in to B2B!

Good to catch up on your diary, lilt. I see you weren't lying when you told me you were getting stuck back into MSE again!
I keep saying I need to get back on but there aren't enough hours in the day any more!
Loving all the photos of Jelly! She is so adorable!
But you knew that anyway!
Keep looking after number 1

Hello Liltykins.
Have you tried thermacare heatpacks? They work wonders for my neck, just put one on in the afternoon/evening and sleep in it. Though it's strange at first because you have to settle into it like you would a really hot bath.
Sorry about Jellytot, do toddlers have a reset button?0
