And it might help focus your mind if you lose your job, have no money, fall ill and are thrown out on the streets. :Tnotanewuser wrote: »When are the govt going to bring in sanctions for those that so obviously are doing all they can to avoid work? They could call it "last chance" - removing all benefits and replacing with a cardboard box, a blanket and a begging bowl. Might help "focus the mind", don't you think?0 -

What's sort of question is that? its me who is paying the postage, why you ask anyway?

Why?
The cost is as good a reason as any you SHOULDN'T be writing to 10 employers per week, at least not via Royal Mail.
If you're going to post 10 spec letters a week, second class, that's a fiver a week off your JSA - £6 if you go 1st class.
'Write' to employers via email, or drop in to their premises and hand a spec letter in personally
It's bad enough you have to jump through hoops to get your benefits without fear of sanctions, it shouldn't cost you a slice of those benefits to do the jumping!!0 -

I shouldn't need to do "research" if you make stupid posts or they are not clear.notanewuser wrote: »Do your research.

I never send post 1st class, I sent them 2nd class, also I am sure I can afford it as I don't smoke, I don't drink that often, I haven't got virgin, sky, bt but I do have talktalk for all 3
Btw I have got no choice as I can't afford to loose my Jobseekers, I don't want to be sanctioned.

You do have a choice the JSA is money you need to LIVE on not to apply for jobs so ask the JC for the stamps or say you have emailed them as that's 100% proof you did indeed 'write' to the company.I never send post 1st class, I sent them 2nd class, also I am sure I can afford it as I don't smoke, I don't drink that often, I haven't got virgin, sky, bt but I do have talktalk for all 3

How are you proving you have written to the companies? A though are the JC asking for proof of postage? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
