Calm down! It's ONLY ECP who don't do court. They will send more debt collector letters. Then another one and another - I have ignored and laughed at this same firm myself! This has been the case for many years, hence the 'PPC letter chains' thread linked in the stickies collated at the top of this forum by Crabman. Why not click on that and then the OLD letter chain pics from before Oct 2012 (that link shows the best pics and many still work to show you the letter chain of rubbish to expect). You don't need to pore over a thread with a poster who got the same letters - of course they did because everyone does! I did too!

    This is NOTHING.

But send an email to the CEO of Sainsburys and complain to make it SOMETHING for them to sort out!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I will chill out a bit and spend some time reading as I am posting in between working lol!!
  • I have emailed the CEO of Sainsbury and had a response saying they are going to look into the issues I have raised.

I have used some quotes from this thread so lets see what they come back with.
  • I have now dealt with the issue through the Sainsbury's office after emailing the CEO.

The parking charge has been dropped and I must say that Sainsbury's were VERY helpful!!

I would like to thank you all for help and advice you have given and to those reading this in a similar situation, keep persevering and try to contact the supermarket manager firstly (although I had difficulties with this as they simply weren't there when I tried) as this is the quickest course of action!!

    Once again, many thanks!!!

Well done. Have you had confirmation from the PPC that this matter is now closed?

(It ain't over until the fat lady sings, as the expression goes).
  • This was only closed late last week by the helpful lady at Sainsburys.

I was just informed that I will receive no more letters from ECP or Controlaccount.

I did wonder if I would receive any thing official??
  • Haven't received anything official in the post or any further demands for money!!

    Sleeping dogs and all that......

But do keep a weather eye on anything dropping through your letterbox. Potentially a civil claim can be raised for up to six years after the event; from what you've said it looks very unlikely.

    But, forewarned is forearmed. :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Lazy old ECP seem not to bother telling people when they've cancelled a charge.
