ouch Nicki - and I hope the puddy is ok Dusty - your reasoning sounds plausible!

have washed lots and run it all through the TD, ironed half of it. Bank account updated. Can't wait for the 20th - will be my biggest wage ever - I will feel like Croesus:rotfl: Good job I did the update - have accidentally paid one CC twice and one was missed! But I'm in time...I'm hoping to use the untold riches to reduce my debts. The double payment has gone to the one which will be cleared first, so that's good!

Have made lunch/tea/main meal. We have had fish pie (with my own 'bodged' recipe) accompanied by savoy cabbage and honey roasted parsnips (one spoonful of probably OOD honey drizzled over 'em) followed by Apple strudel - HG apples, sultanas and the pack of filo pastry I bought yellow stickered in August! Have got chicken thighs out of the freezer for the SC tomorrow, and all the veg for that are prepped.

    Hi

We've not been out all weekend :( DD wasn't great yesterday and I've had a downer day today. Mum has spent the day with us which has taken the pressure off a bit. We've had dinner, watched films, played with the kids and generally been peaceful.

I couldn't get warm earlier despite heating being on all day. Now I'm too hot. So I've had some parrots, and had a word with myself and I feel a bit better now. I've been stressing myself out - goodness knows what about. Trying to do a simple Christmas as I just CBA but I think I'm stressing that people will be disappointed. I've been booing on and off all day about "stuff".

Think we're all just over tired...

Our tree has been rectified, though ;) covered in lights and proper ornaments rather than loo roll. Elves been on naughty step again. Think they need to be good for a few days...

I have my works do on Wednesday. Not sure if I want to go. And other stuff. Maybe my calendar is too full...

    Hi all

Bossy I'm a bit the same at the moment - feel very emotional and fed up of Christmas already. I'm trying to keep it simple too but feel I have no control. I too feel very emotional too. (I hope Susannah doesn't leave Strictly as that will set me off! Yes I am that pathetic at present)
Dusty Hope Woody just has a war wound no nothing more.

Tree's up. Gifts are all wrapped. We decided to put the tree up now as DS won't be having family over for his birthday until 22nd and that's way too late to get tree up!
Few jobs to do tomorrow so will catch up on list too.
Hoping to feel better tomorrow, seem to have just slept all weekend :o.

Ditto! The previous couple of years I've been ok but this year *rolls eyes*. I actually feel lonely which is a very rare emotion for me and I don't like it one bit.

Just focusing on seeing my nephew (5) and my niece (17 months) opening their presents.

I've made plans for new years day too - going for a walk which includes my favourite view.

You're always welcome to PM me bossy if you ever want to talk xx

  • Just lurking......I can't stay away :rotfl:

Made good on my promise to take young Skints to park for 15 minutes.

We had brunch out yesterday to celebrate (restaurants attached to Pr£mi£r Inn do cooked breakfast, plus cereals, toast croissants muffins, yogurts, fruits and sprinkles, juice and teas/coffees £8.25 per adult - children go free!) As I precaution I took DD3's passport with us as although she is 13 she looks much older (which was good as they were going to charge for her), also they do offer vegan friendly Soya milk so she was surprised she had such a choice of things to eat and drink. So 4 of us fed, good mix of food groups for £8.25 all in :money: first time I have eaten anything properly since Operation Find Keys started- and no explosion of mess in my kitchen.

Got some fresh veg for DD3 for roast on Monday from Ald!, went to the Orange Diy shop to buy some bits and bobs for repairs needed on Toots list ready for starting a new week.

Hoovered house top to bottom.........and that's it til the new list
The cold never bothered me anyway

    *peaceful healing vibes* Dancemum

Dusty, We can't make feline people better, but I do know they grieve terribly when one goes. Darling Woody is grieving, and if he's ill, you will do what is right. They don't follow the same logic we have. If he's ill, he was ill before RP was, and didn't want you to know. If he needs healing, and it is possible to heal him, the vet will tell you how. None of this is your responsibility, it was his feline choice to keep any illness from you.
    Better is good enough.
