Well done for trying. You'll get there.

Is numeracy an issue? Is it something you could benefit from extra support from? Or was it just nerves as well?

    Hi thanks,

Yes I hate Numeracy, it was my worst subject at school :o

I would have to speak to my advisor at Jobcentre on Tuesday to see if any Numeracy courses are available :)

My advisor at Jobcentre didn't mention I had to do a 35 hour Job search, he just told to apply for many Jobs as I can as if I don't apply for enough jobs be time my next appointment which is on tuesday then I could get sanctioned.

So it seems I have applied for many Jobs and I even had a interview also there is Monday yet to apply for Jobs before Tuesday :D
No but you told us you do a 35 hour job search each week

There is also let me see Saturday and Sunday before Monday unless they have cancelled those days. :)

Yes but I don't have to do a 35 hour Jobsearch as that is my choice, don't get me wrong as I am trying hard to get a Job but I only can apply for jobs if there is any.

    I didn't knew Jobs are posted Saturday's and Sunday's?

You didn't know jobs were posted on the weekends? Oh :rotfl::rotfl:

I wonder why you asked on here how it was possible to do a 35 hour job search though the other week...................

Oh yes jobs are even posted or go live on Xmas Day.

  • I am a former Maths teacher. If I had £1 for everyone who told me that they couldn't do Maths and who then got a Level 2 qualification I would be rich.

Can you tell the time? Use money? Read a bus timetable? Play darts? Know when your phone needs topping up? If the answer is yes, then there is nothing wrong with your basic numeracy skills.

I assume weekends are for chilling and Universal Jobmatch and other Job sites don't post new Jobs until Monday :o

Well if I can't tell the time then I would miss my Jobcentre appointments and I would have been sanctioned a long time ago.

You see what I did there? (I was been sarcastic)

Sounds like applying for jobs is your job, and your benefit is your salary. Sounds like it's working out for you.
    Hope over Fear. #VoteYes
  • 4.5 jobs a day should be enough. You do need to look at the weekend though, I really don't advise missing any days.

I have difficulty writing long applications (dysgraphia) so could do at most 1 of those a day - unless I was to type it up that is.

Quality wins over quantity any day of the week, though don't think JCP believe in that :(
