Most of you know that I had a interview on 27.11.2013 for a warehouse but not heard anything yet if I have been successful or not but to be honest I doubt I got it as I had to do a maths test and I think I didn't pass as I am not good at maths as I just guessed them
I also have got appointment on Tuesday 3rd of December 2013 with my advisor at Jobcentre at 12.00pm, so far I have applied for 18 Jobs

So what are you doing to improve your maths skills?0

Sorry to hear that.
Basic numeracy is not something that you can do much about, but ability to do the sort of tests you get in job interviews can be improved with practice.
There are all sorts of online ones, and it can't do any harm to give them a try.0 -
Why not good at Maths? Do you have an O Level or A or B GCSE?Most of you know that I had a interview on 27.11.2013 for a warehouse but not heard anything yet if I have been successful or not but to be honest I doubt I got it as I had to do a maths test and I think I didn't pass as I am not good at maths as I just guessed them

Why have you not done a Maths course whilst on the WP or asked for help with this before now?
18 jobs in how long? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

18 jobs in how long?
Since 25.11.2013 I applied for 18
Oh by the way, it's not just me who are useless at maths as other people are not good at maths as well you know.
Not been rude or anything but everytime I post something you always pick on me, have I done something to offend you?0 -

I have tutored people that couldn't add up two single digits, and within a few months they were at GCSE level. Basic numeracy is something you most definitely can do something about.0 -

Well, I'm not referring to ability to carry out the calculations, more the numerical component of IQ. As with IQ as a whole, maximal ability with numbers seems to be quite fixed.
You can't tutor a person who's bad at maths to be able to do what I do, but yes, most people who have severely limited maths are not there because of raw inability, but because of poor teaching.0 -

4.5 jobs a day! That's not a lot really.
Well it all adds up, better then applying for 4 jobs be time my signing on comes around and I will get sanctioned.
I just can't apply for jobs if I don't have the right skills for that position. I have been reading quite a lot of topics on here stating people have only applied for 4 jobs in 1 fortnight, now that is shocking !!
well I have done really well in Jobseeking and I also had a interview.0 -

Sorry but that's a ridiculous thing to say - people with numeracy and literacy problems can make enormous progress if they wish.
The OP's already said that he doesn't want to take advantage of the free Literacy and Numeracy courses he's been offered - that's the problem he has regarding improving his skills.0
