Proud announcement of finding my first roadkill when out with the dogs in the park - 2 x 5ps both now safely into pot (one needed something rather disgusting washed off it first though)!
NSD so added £1 to celebrate!
AlwaysHappy - I share your sentiment, there's something quite exciting about tucking the coins safely into a pot where they can't be got!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Observer wrote:Oh dear I fear I am one of the ones who hasn't returned....... No, no, no, Observer, you have returned...a little late maybe, but back with us - after I swept you right off.
Please forgive me as I welcome you back with open arms!
Please please please may I rejoin? Up to you if you give me a new number, or my old one is on my sig still. Apologies for not popping in sooner, or at all the whole year. I'm afraid sometimes life just gets in the way and that's the only excuse I have.
I hope that everyone is ok - the wind is just getting really strong here - everyone stay inside and safe and warm tonight. Will try much harder to pop in occasionally. Merry Christmas to all
I've put you back on the list, and promise I'll never boot you off again. A very Merry Christmas to you, Observer, and a Happy, healthy New Year.
A very warm welcome, Miz Gayle. It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving and join in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
Gayle, please don't ever worry about asking questions, you're welcome and we'd sooner you have the information you need. Can't wait for the Grand Total - my guess (and hope) is that it smashes right through the £50k barrier.
BTW, I think you've done the right thing with the numbers and tidying things up. Well done, the work hasn't been unnoticed. Hope Santa looks after you.
Ah, thank you, Lynsey, Father Christmas aka my beloved hubby will be taking care of me as I've messed up my left knee, too much ruddy walking, truly! I had the fluid drained off today and a steroid injection and have to rest all over Christmas. Our lad (we're with him and his wife) on Christmas Day will take the mickey something rotten.
Thanks so much for your kind words, I'm so pleased now that I got to grips with the list last weekend, such relief. :j
Oh dear, jakes-mum, it sounds as though you've been through it a bit with young Jake. Lets hope he makes up for it and is good and gives Lily a magical Christmas. :xmassmile Bless her in the Nativity play, little darling. :A I hope your Mum soon gets her car back and life returns to normal, whatever that is in your household! You know what I mean though.
Wohooo! Found my first "roadkill" tonight, it was on the floor of the bus.
We can all share your delight, Eyebright, and we're all thrilled to bits for you.
My thoughts were to anyone with a black or white one, Ruth, I'd just hate to hurt anyone's feelings. Though we have a black Lab and it wouldn't worry me if anyone has a yellow, gold or chocolate. I'm off of that topic. :rotfl: BTW, here's a gold star for sorting folk out earlier. Thank you. :staradmin
Thank you so very much, Kerry, hugs mean so much at such times, especially as I really miss walking, but that's minor compared to many.
56p today, AlwaysHappy, but who knows what it may be tomorrow or in the future. It's wonderful to hear you feel right at home, we have such lovely members. :A You have such a happy disposition and really live up to your name. Well done you with £2 now!!
Good for you, slowlyfading!
Please don't fret, happycrafter, I can quite well understand how it would happen. You just be happy saving...and crafting. It'd be lovely to see some of your work one day if possible. Not pushing you.
Well done, helencal, Christmas will be over soon enough, sadly, and then normal potting will be resumed.
Excellent news of yet another £5 not used for lunch, Meowhouse, though I'm so sorry to hear you too have a cold. Get well soon and surround yourself with these {{{Hugs}}}.
Ooohe lovely, 32b3, a good day.
Best wishes with that plan, bellevie, you'll be able to pot a fortune and is far better than lining the pockets of others!Bambisbelle wrote:Im back again didn't end up posting my total. Wasn't very much however I intend to do better this year.
It's so good to see you back, Bambisbelle!Sadly, I just had to whittle members from the list that didn't return, but you have and I'm so pleased! Please don't think you're savings (whatever it is) is too small to be included - that is never the case! Please pop it on SPC 6 so I can include it in the Grand Total with all the others. BTW, a warm welcome home! :grinheart You're on the list with a good No too, don't worry I won't be brushing you off anymore, honest.
You're not alone in only saving onc a week, Maisie, I only shop the once and that's it unless DH needs to go out. You be happy with what you can do.
Not to worry, nikki2804, another day tomorrow.
You think you're alone, Buffy? No way, there are several of us who have one per denomination - big word this time of night - I've 2 Cows, 1 Chicken, 2 Terramundi, a welly boot and 2 Pigs...and you thought you were the odd one. :rotfl: BTW, take no notice of me with regards the loan, if it helps you clear it then please - use if for that by all means. :kisses3: It's really good to see your name come up so often now, do keep it up.
Of course it helps, KittyBoo, it all adds up in the end.
Very helpful, Saver-upper, here's a gold star for helping Gayle. :staradminJustKaren wrote:£2.02 In my geisha today does anyone save like mad in their pots then use whats in them monthly to pay off a bill or is it all saved til the end of the year I have a credit card ready to blitz and cut up when paid off 4-6 months should see me clear it if I knuckle down but seems a bit odd to be saving alongside repaying ??
Please, JustKaren, if that's what you'd sooner do then please do it and get rid of it. All sparky & I ask is that you put the Total on your siggy when you bank it so you don't forget to include it in November.Be happy with YOUR savings.
Dee, it was a real delight to read your post, I'm so pleased it all means so much to you. Keep within your budget and save when you can - you can't go wrong. You'll be do proud in November and - so will I! :j:DAlwaysHappy - I share your sentiment, there's something quite exciting about tucking the coins safely into a pot where they can't be got!
That too was so lovely to read through, Habibiboo, and well done on the 5ps!!! Keep those coins safely tucked up.Goodnight, potters, and sleep well.
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now as they're all done and simply need swapping over. You'll see that there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :grinheart Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x

Potted a small 40c yesterday.. I think! Even though I am in a different country I automatically revert everything to euro for handiness sakes!
Mine is a clear jar so lovely to see the pennies adding up! I look forward to next november when I get to try and count it up!
Envelope system is up and running for those notes that are equal to €1 or €2.. I've €11 so far, only €489 more to go until I can pay off the rest of my dress!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

It has been a tough few years which resulted in me declaring myself bankrupt in March. I have struggled trying to get my head around everything since and budgeting and living without credit has been hard as my car (which I am reliant on for work and i live rurally) needed a lot of money spent on it this summer. I think I have got myself together and looking forward to my auto discharge in March. I have an IPA that I still have 34 payments to make but see a future!
I am going to break my allowances down further this year and the bits I dont spend will go in the pot!
my pot has had 55p so far this morning!!BSC no.370 AD March 14

It's up to you justkarenI ran a pot while I was clearing my debts as 1) it was all on interest free so wasn't costing me to save and 2) it was a 'well done me I paid all that debt off and for the first time ever this money is for ME!' (Well me, DH and kids, but you know what I mean :rotfl:) My dfd fell neatly in with opening day so was nice to open it and think 'oh I have nothing to pay off anymore
