Five coins in today, and two of them were silver! Its not a lot but we also had to pay the £400 out to the MOT which hurt a lot.

Tomorrow is payday, most of it is spoken for already but it stills feels exciting!

          1. I paid my OU coures today £460  that hurt but I asked my OH to give me money for christmas so that will cover about half plus my usual granny £5 can get added to it too.

I moved my notes from my SKD (sealed kitchen drawer) into my ISA today £150 saved from watching what I buy at the supermarket.:j Can't believe that's 10% of my goal already.:T

Also found a £1 in my trouser pocket I put that in the pot last night too, I have no ideas where it can from as I never put money in my pocket. Must be £1 trouser fairies. :rotfl:.

Well back to work for me, not in the mood today. Happy potting everyone.

Dee, it was a real delight to read your post, I'm so pleased it all means so much to you. Keep within your budget and save when you can - you can't go wrong. You'll be do proud in November and - so will I! :j:D

It has been a tough few years which resulted in me declaring myself bankrupt in March. I have struggled trying to get my head around everything since and budgeting and living without credit has been hard as my car (which I am reliant on for work and i live rurally) needed a lot of money spent on it this summer. I think I have got myself together and looking forward to my auto discharge in March. I have an IPA that I still have 34 payments to make but see a future!

Well done on keeping afloat, it does get easier as you get used to it. I lived without credit for years before I actually went BR, and the biggest gain for me was that the phone calls and letters stopped - no bullying every day was such a relief.

Its a really positive feeling to be saving after the pressure of sliding towards BR

It's good to read about your pots, nikki2002-2008, at least they haven't cost you much. :j

I've no idea how Euros compare with the £, tatabubbly, but so long s you're happy ans saving well, that's all that matters.

You sound as though you're really getting yourself sorted, Dee, it must have been a h!ll of a struggle, especially having a car, but at least you can now see the way forward. I wish you the very best. :)

Oh Observer, as if I wouldn't, I thought you knew me better than that. :( Lovely to see you're happy with your No and to see you back so soon. ;)

It's lovely to see the DGKiddies getting the cash, lucyhope, but it's also a joy to have it to ourselves! :j We cut our lottery tickets down to one and the rest has gone in the pot. More good that way I'm sure.

Thank you, jakes-mum, me too. Re Jake, we had one of those, he was a little s!d and always in trouble, but everyone spoke so well of him "such a lovely polite and courteous boy for his age" little did they know. He was mostly the other way round to Jake, a little blighter at home but a delight to everyone else. I suppose thinking on it though it was always good to know. He and his Sister were/still are chalk and cheese, but he's manager of a timber tool shop and we're so proud of him, bless him. Jake'll come out ok, he's definitely at a rotten age, puberty etc. You're welcome though. :rotfl: My hubby's the same as yours and loads of others with the car, I don't understand how folk can ride in a messy one.

You'll soon get used to the site, Gayle, and then be helping others out, it's natural. Well done on the finds. :D

Ah, but it is a lot, Sams, given the week you've had so be very pleased with yourself. :j

Never mind, claireyfairy, it had to be done and at least you've had some help with it.

Glad you're happy with the teeth looks wise, sexyshark, no doubt you'll soon get used to them. My Mum always moaned about hers to start with then found them fine. e don't like change.

Well done, Piquant, but yes, be a devil and search you bag for more - you never know. :D
Sorry I couldn't get back on earlier, SPCers, but the internet has been up the creek.Ok now fingers crossed.

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers now as they're all done and simply need swapping over. You'll see that there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. forums.moneysavingexpert.comPlease change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

                    Very many thanks indeed.
