Sometimes you just have to just throw professionalism "out of the window" ........................ perhaps this was one of those times. :D

Yes, I'm regretting it now. Knowing the child and mother well, mother would probably have supported me anyway. :D

Got all excited when I saw 2x £2 coins in an old purse til I realised they were 2euro coins!
Oh well, I'll just have to go on holiday next year :)

gottogo - unless you're serious about going away next year then why not pop them in a separate pot for when you do.

I'm back safe and sound, it was lovely and sunny, and the wind's dropped a lot.
Heard about those poor people having to stand and watch their house fall into the sea - can't imagine how they must be feeling :(

Our school Christmas fair was today.I gave the 3 eldest children £5 each to spend(didn't trust the 4yo with a fiver,so relied on her to ask daddy for money if she saw something she wanted something :rotfl:).Seperate to this,I took £10 to pay for my own snacks, kids asking for more money, etc.I planned to pot the change when I got home.
    Except,guess what.....
    NO CHANGE .
Mental note to take more money to fairs next year to stand a chance of being able to pot at end of day

However,my pot shall be fed tonight:
the other night as I was filling children's (sewn) Advent calenders with chocolates, some chocolate coins fell down between the sofa(a corner unit). At the time I was only able to retrieve one of the chocs:the others seemed to disappear under one of the sofas.
Tonight I bothered to separate the couple of pieces the sofa comes in,looking for the chocs that fell between.GONE!!Couldn't find the chocs anywhere, but I did find a real £1 coin,so that will go in my pot for today :A

OH going out with children tomorrow,so must make a start on planning Christmas presents  as well as do a bit of tidying. Not expecting to have anything to pot, unless people around here have been really careless with their shrapnel :rotfl:

Sending a BIG HUG but hope you feeling better now and can put it in a drawer for another day.

Well - I made a decision and I don't care about the BAH-HUMBUG I am not putting up tree and decs. There are no children coming over here during Chrissy and it looks like DH will be working long nights and some aways next 2 weeks so would have to get them out and up myself - not really on. Also will only have to rush around to get them all down again before I pack for holidays as like to leave place clean and tidy :D to return to.

I digress so back to topic - Super Saturday £1 potted and soooo

DRUM-ROLL PLEASE - Tree is now 3 inches high :j
