Of course you can join us
, sarahboo72. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

sarahboo72, you're so right - it is a fab idea - one that gives us all a lot of cash each year!! :j

I know what you mean Sue-UU re kiddies believing innsanta a little longer! Also how weird, a mysterious plane thingy went over us the other year, just as you described! Kids said it was definately Santa!!

Ah, then perhaps it's not just coincidence then, mummyof4, I reckon he's that much out of touch after resting all year that he needs practice runs so they do the nearest possible! :rotfl: I hope no kiddies are watching this thread! Whoops! :undecided I'd forgotten jakes-mum and sparky. :wall:

I only hope they were SPCers and the coins ended up in an s.p.

Oh no Modesty! It's no good you'll just have to brush up on your tackling skills. Book a session with sparky. ;)

£5 in my pot today, got the car cleaned - inside and out was £10 but outside was £5 so I paid the £5 for the outside then hoovered it myself when I got home, potted the £5 saved :)

Oh brilliant, keza!! :rotfl: That really did give hubby and I such a laugh!!! Everyone can't be a winner, but you certainly were today! yay.gif
An excellent idea, ETO, for you too, mommyof4! Don't forget girls....stick to your budgets!!

Strange you should ask about the Grand Total, mommyof4, as I decided I'd tell you all today - that....
    .....
    ....
    ....
    ....
    ....
    ....
    ....
I haven't a clue! :rotfl: Seriously, I don't think it'll be long now with the way things are going. People have quite possibly either forgotten, are ill or away, not saved too well or not bothered.

However, that doesn't mean you all should suffer. So, I'll have a word with sparky, my very able 2nd in command and see if I can pop it on soon. I can then add any stragglers on my siggy as that's where the current Grand Total will always be.

No potting for me today. I went shopping but paid with the £5 I had and the bill was exactly £5.

I also bought some Christmas decs in sainsbury a but I paid with my bank card so no change there either. I will be back to cash tomorrow so normal service will be resumed :D

    Hope everyone is well.

    Ooooo 35p for me. :D

I've decided that anytime I spend any cash the change will go in the pot. Hopefully that will help it all add up. And means I will have to stick to budget too. :D

I put all the change I have in my purse at the end of each day in my pot. It could be 1p it could be £20, if it is a coin, it is going in the pot.

Have a great time are you going to Krakow? If you are while everyone else is visiting the camps jump onto one of the little buggies and go to the Oskar Schindler enamel works factory. It's a bit out the way but it's well worth a visit and it's a good way to see how he helped a lot of people. Also while you're there try to visit the salt mines you can arrange the trip from your hotel reception. ;). We're going in July and can't wait to get back there.

Thank you Sparky Have already decided to go to the salt mines look amazing will go to Schindler works but DH wants to go there as well Don't think he trusts me on my own!!

Got our Zlotys weird aren't they? and all packed ready to go.

Sue I know you don't want me not to come back I know how much and Sparky love me and Jakes Mum We keep you sane!

    Will be back Friday

Put lots in my purse as had to empty it!!

I used to do it at the end of every week, and occasionally the end of the day, although nothing as big as £20. The problem I have now is I have such a strict budget it defeats the object of potting money and then taking more out of my account. So I'm guessing little but often may help for now. :D

But I do also need to be stricter with my spends as in not spend it. :rotfl:

Better luck next time, 32b3. Be careful you don't push to spend just to get savings though as it defeats the object. :)

You be sure to have a really lovely time, LC 2, with safe flights there and back and safe journeying wherever else you go.

17p is still good after shopping, heyjude, so be happy with it.

Hi Lynsey, good with the potting, but is there a reason why we torture ourselves with the lottery? :( I leave it to hubby, but he gets it wrong, probably puts 7 of em instead.
But I do also need to be stricter with my spends as in not spend it. :rotfl:

You can be firmer with yourself, ETO, you know you can. Ask yourself the question when temptation strikes "do I need it or just want it?" If it's the latter then be strong and leave it there. Time will tell if you really must have it. ;)
