I've put all the change from my holding pot into my proper pot it was just over £10!
Then I dropped it cos it's so heavy! And cos it's only a Cheddars tub it split at the bottom. So I think this weekend I'll count it up and bank it, and look for a new pot. Maybe one of those terramundis people have mentioned. But I'll try not to drop that.
Congrats Loveactually, that's good news :)

Hi all, my pot is now up to £11.70 although this is a false reading as son3 took some money out of it to buy milk, he has put some change in though so I'm just going to leave it like that and see what the difference is when we come to empty it.

Could you put my goal £1000 please.

All sorted out, GaLa15, all the best in achieving it.

Well done with your savings, Saver-upper, though who'd have thought you wouldn't have been able to have afforded meals for 3 kiddies with £13.69!! Shocking!

Great news about your George, jakes-mum!! Re the continued dislike of fingers, I wonder if they see them as a separate extension to us. Ours can't stand mine after 14 years (Cockateil...not a Budgie).

Thanks a lot, sparky, yes T looked after me wonderfully as always, bless him. :kisses3: Well done with Alder Hey and I bet you thoroughly enjoyed it all...as always. :D Thanks for the very emotive tale of 9/11....very emotional indeed.

Tomorrow is the start of my third week of the couch to 5k running plan. 2 weeks ago I struggled to run for 1 minute, last night I ran for 7 minutes, 3 times with only a 2 minute walking break between each 7 minutes. I never thought it would work :D

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone

You're doing just amazingly, 32b3, VERY well done indeed!!! :j Keep at it and enjoy the results.

By golly, you're getting there fast, Lynsey, fantastic!!

    Well done, credit_crunch...your DH too!

Excellent saving, blue_mango, and thanks for popping it on your siggy.

    Hi all,

I have good news to share my IVF has worked and I'm now 5 weeks pregnant I'm so thrilled and happy about it.

If everything goes well EDD is in December. So the money I m potting will be used for baby stuff rather than a trip to NY.

Congratulations to you and your DH, Loveactually!!!! I'm so thrilled for you. Please keep us updated as you journey along with the pregnancy. :T:jth_cancan.gif:T:j

Keep that saving going strong, Lynsey! :D

Brilliant car savings that's now potted, Ruth, amazing!!!!!

Marvellous saving, princess-angelica, all the best on retrieving it from your terramundi.
...Took DD to the doctors this morning as she came out in a horrible rash on her face. Shingles - horrible place for a teenage girl to get it. By late afternoon it has spread quite badly, so went back to the docs who sent her straight up to the hospital for tests. Hours later and DH is still up there with her :(

Oooooh mrsdalloway, how terrible for your DD, I didn't even know youngsters could get it!! I truly hope she's soon much much better.

I'm so pleased you too are finding saving so addictive, Indie Kid, for most of us it's a complete turnaround after spending. :j

Great savings everyone!!! You're all doing so very well, keep focused and hard at it! I shall be back before Easter but as it's so close and some of you will be going away, have a lovely Easterand a wonderful time.
Have a great day tomorrow, folks, and pot pot pot:j

  • Thank you for your well-wishes everyone. They are very much appreciated.

DD has gone to stay with her big sister for a few days, so that has put a smile back on her face! She is on anti-virals now, and she says that the rash isn't as itchy or painful as it was. It will hopefully be gone by the time she goes back to school next week.

Today I've had some quality time with my son (10). We went to the zoo, which was great fun. Priceless time and still came home with £2.41 for my pot!

    Happy evening.

So I've counted my pot and got well over £200!
I can only pay into the bank 5 bags at a time :( so I'll do that over the next week or so and update as I go.
Also received my CPP compensation cheque, I'll bank that but it's going towards my Walk The Walk fundraising so not sure if I should include it in my total here?
