How very true those words are, Hope, a blissful area! :j
Good to see you, Pickle, and to know you're saving well.

Rosy, you and Sue can pop round anytime for one of these :coffee: and a slice of something naughty. In fact, it's open house everyone!
Ah, don't worry, little_sweetie, I bet they say exactly the same about us.I'm so pleased things are getting a little easier for you back wise and I hope it keep improving. Rosy & I will be round for tea tomorrow!
:D
Best wishes with your Uni assignment, Nell.

£1.12 potted today. I had to spend the £2 coins after all ( sob sob!)
DH threatening to take over all the financial work! I'd like to see him try, we'd soon be in deep doodoo. :rotfl: He wouldn't have a clue!
Ah, thanks a lot for the heads up, Modesty, I'll need to keep an eye on my MSE newsletter. :money: You did give me a giggle with your DH and finances threat above! :rotfl:
Have a really lovely time in Torremolenos, Lynsey! I hope the weather's kind to you, but know you'll enjoy the break anyway.
I'm pleased you had a lovely run, 32b3, just the weather for it.
I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your Aunt, AlwaysHappy, it's an awful time for families to go through, but as you say, let's hope it won't be too long for her now. Huge {{{Hugs}}} for you, your Mum and all your family.
You be careful in scrabbling anywhere at 7 months pregnant, lhead!!!! :eek:Take care of yourself. Be sure to keep your pot hidden from DH too!!!
I hope you're feeling much better now, claireyfairy, though if you're doing jumping jacks!!! :j Still kept up saving then, well done.
Well done on Lily's room, jakes-mum! BTW, I saw what you've been doing with your pot, not much goes by without me seeing...and no, Sue didn't think it was good, though you're right about you being a b&gger for wanting premature opening days - just not THIS ruddy premature!!!
Stay discipled, cattysmum!! :A Good saving.
Good for you with the curtain sales, Saver-upper!Saver88 wrote:Hello all. Been a while since I posted but have just got back from a lovely week in Disneyland Paris and surprisingly came home with €170. So will change it back up and give some do DH and will pot the rest.
I hope you had a really brilliant time, Saver! Good to know you came back with euros.
Well done, KONG.....
You also, sparky. An extra year's saving now then, a shame in one way, but maybe just as well.
Great news about you getting the job, tatabubbly!!! BTW, how about using a "holding pot" to keep some cash in the house as 'just in case money'?
30p is better than nothing, charlieyates!Have a lovely evening and a good Tuesday, folks!

I didn't get home early enough to run tonight so I am going to attempt to go before work tomorrow. Not sure how successful that will be, I am not a morning person really!!

Evening. Hope everyone is well.
I've got 10 x £1 to pot :T . . . . . .in my shiney new tin.
Whoo hoo , didn't take me long at all to fill first one, now to hide it somewhere safe, but it's got to be where I'll remember as I always forget my safe places
I gave my 4yr old grandson a couple of pound today to buy him and his brother some candy. But he asked if I would help him to put it in there money tins. My daughter has done so well with her money saving and loves encouraging the boys to save. Proud of her and so proud of my grandsons. It's a shame it's taken so long for me to get to grips with it, lol
Big hugs to everyone.

I am a tad upset today, its DH and My 7th wedding anniversary today and not one single person remembered (except DH who is the only one that really matters), I know its a silly thing to be upset about and people are dealing with much worse things than this, but everyone on DH's side remember everyone else's anniversarys, birthdays, special occasions, but because we don't live 'round the corner' its like we don't exist sometimes and we do feel a bit like second class citizens in our own family
even my mum forgot and she has never forgotten (she did come on the day last year and tell me she had a card ready for 'tomorrow'
but has never actually forgotten before)
I'll get over it but at the minute we are both feeling a bit unimportant
Anyway, enough feeling sorry for myself, a whopping 1p in the pot today from DS's jeans, one day he will learn, if it goes into the machine its mums to potSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Thanks Sue, I know the Ribena is expensive in a carton but it never tastes the same for me out of a bottle.
Awww! Congratulations tatabubbly! You have made my day! Have some celebration cake and / or drink!
:bdaycake: (I know it is a birthday cake, but cake is a cake!)
I have had a crappy day today, I lost a £10 note (after coming out of the doctors again - signed off work for another week) so I had to count out the £13 odd pound of change I was going to pot with my poorly sore hands and walk home because of the lost money.
The walk home should have been a 20 minute but it took me 55 minutes - blooming eczema! On a plus though I did buy myself a fresh cream cake and it was blooming lovely with a nice cup of tea!
Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
Great potting everyone, you are all doing so well! Sending safe hugs to all who accept!
