  • Welcome back 166million :hello:

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so well mossy, sore throats are rotten.

Thinking of you nell, hope all is well x

I have not had much change to pot again this week (but NSD's are good...yay!) just a few small coins from my pocket money. The food budget was all used this week on stocking up with spices and ingredients for baking as I would like us to eat more healthy, fresh food on the same budget we have now  I just hope that my waistline doesn't suffer the consequences of more home baking :o How do you resist yours rosy ?

Oh, and a 'heads up'.... fleabay has more FREE listing this weekend. Are you sure you can't list husbands Sue-uu ???:rotfl::rotfl:

Have a lovely Saturday everyone! x

    :o I don't :o :rotfl:
I got down to 8 1/2 stone last year with 5:2 so now I'm adding a few pounds :o

No potting yesterday or today I've got a cold so I'm staying in, tho I'd like to get to the PO today to collect a parcel, I'll see how I go.

Happy to say that both DD and my BFF are potting £2 coins this year :T The downside is I can't buy them from DD any more! OH will sell them to me but he wants £2.20 each the skinflint :rotfl:

Nell thinking of you, as always you inspire me :)

Hi everyone! I hope everyone's still saving well, keeping safe and healthy too. :D

    A VERY warm welcome back
166million :hello: Of course you can join us again. We had to have a change with the membership list as so many members have long since left MSE. It's really good to see you again....and don't forget...we open up the pots on 27th November! :dance:You'll note that your new SPC No is similar(ish) to your Username, not bad for coincidental eh! :D

Not to worry, mommyof4, life chucks curved balls at us and we need to deal with them. Save hard again and I'm pleased you had the money saved!

Ooooh bad luck with As!a indeed, AlwaysHappy, we always check ours as soon as he/she gives us the receipt, make sure you do the same and save yourself that trek!

Well done with the chunk paid off the credit card, mossy. Sorry to hear you've go a sore throats....possibly guilt from the F & C!! :p To answer your question, no I'm afraid not.

Oooooh Oban eh, Hope. Thoughts of Oban always take me back to seeing the Guillimots nesting in the harbour walls. I do LOVE the area all around there - sheer bliss!!!!!!!! :j BTW, you have "Sealed Part 14" on your siggy, don't you mean "Sealed Pot"???

...although £1.18 was spent on two cartons of Ribena, they were so good!

Aha! Bout time we saw you back here, Lucy! Good to see you and well done with your £50 already!!! :T BTW, buy yourself a bottle of Rib!na (when it's on offer), it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than in cartons.
Potted three shiny £2 coins today. Can't believe I still addicted three months down the line along with my sealed pot I am saving a £1 a day as well. I've never had any savings before so I'm over the moon.

That's marvellous to read, princess-angelica!! :D From here on never let anything stop you from saving and you'll always have cash by you and a sunny side to look on! :j
Potting £7.98, money left from my weekly spends. I did toy with the idea of potting just the change but thought I'd stick the fiver in as well. :D

A fantastic idea, ETO!!! Bt you'll be glad you did when you count it up! :D

No Lynne, the warm sunny weather will soon be back...after the rain of next week! :(

Hi mummytummy, lovely to see you.

Thanks for the new £1 piccy, Lynsey, I heard about it on TV and guessed it had to be like the old threepenny bit, not that I'd remember! :rotfl: It's a long time in the processing though.

Apparently not, little_sweetie, but I'd be lost without mine so he's staying put. How's your back now, feeling a bit better? I really do hope so.

Hello everybody and what a good day you are all having.
Well, I have taken a leaf out of your books and as I had £2 x 2 in my purse today they have both gone in my pot! As i got some catching up to do! Looks like it will be cup a soups for lunch this week as I have not done a big shop, but I can afford to lose a few LBS (not £) xxx. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know you've got a good 'un Sue and, in truth, I'd miss mine too but he can be so infuriating at times  Thank you for asking, Sue, my back is feeling much better, not perfect...but at least I can walk now!

rosy, you and Sue can pop round anytime for one of these :coffee: and a slice of something naughty. In fact, it's open house everyone!

Enjoy this lovely bit of sun....

    Hi All,

Hope Saturday is treating you well and the sun is still shining. Its been a lovely day here, but been stuck indoors, bum glued (!) to seat trying to get brain to focus on Uni assignment. Its starting to take shape but by golly its been a painful process. lol.

As a result of the above its been a NSD today, so no coins to accompany the others. Am sure tomorrow I will be out and about again.

Oh dear me, was I moaning about a sore throat the other day!! :o People have so much more to put up with, shows how tired I was that I wasn't mindful of that. I bet there's plenty of people who would happily swap their health problems for a sore throat! :o

Bought some seeds from lidls today and they gave me a £2 coin...darn them...I shall have to pot it of course!! :D

Going back on the 5/2 diet next week and so need to get meal planning today!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. :)

Hi Sue, the free will whatsit was in the MSE email. It's only in certain places at one time for one month, unfortunately I was too slow trying to make an appointment. If it comes to you get in quick.

£1.12 potted today. I had to spend the £2 coins after all ( sob sob!)

DH threatening to take over all the financial work! I'd like to see him try, we'd soon be in deep doodoo. :rotfl: He wouldn't have a clue! :D

Hugs to all who need one, especially Nell.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all, hope you had a great day.

Potted another £3 tonight, change from lotto and included another £2 coin - doing well with those at the moment and they really help to up the total.

Not much potting next week as we're off for a short break to Spain early Wednesday - fingers crossed for some decent sun. If I can get around £10 over the next 3 days, I'll be more than happy.

mossy - a sore throat is a sore throat and well worthy of a moan.
