    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Potted another £3.90 today, in a different variety of coins.
This time it included a £2 coin (whoop whoop).
I messed up my "counting machine" in my sig, so probably not accurate any more............................ it probably wasn't anyway. lol
It's just a "guestimate" now and another surprise come counting up time....................... how much did I mess up. lol

Yes I'd eat the eggs but I was brought up with rabbits, chickens etc and they all finished up in the pot eventually so bit heartless I suppose. Bit like going all gooey over lambs and calves and refusing a roast dinner ?? complicated I know :)

I understand the thinking, lynne, but I don't eat meat at all now. It put me off when I was little seeing all the new lambs and just knowing where they would end up :(

So glad you feel the same about the chooks, Sue :) And THANK you for my new star :T It's being lovingly polished and will be put in my cabinet for safe keeping!

I'm still not able to get out much so no change to pot but I have bids on 2 eB*y items which close tomorrow :j I will pot whatever they make. Watch this space!

So sorry to hear about your dog sparky but glad it's benign tumour. Let's hope they can shrink it.

spiralling, so sorry to hear you've been so ill. I do hope you feel better now and back with us. Look after yourself x

Ooops, sorrrry, I won't do it again Sue, promise.
Although tbh I'm glad I did as it made me realise how much money I've been wasting, buying stuff for the sake of it.
Now I think twice before I spend. :D
And my tin is getting soooo heavy I think the bottom will fall through soon. I'm hoping for a nice terramundi for mothers day :T

Happy potting everyone, I'm just off to sit on naughty step

You're forgiven and can get off now, diddley, at least you managed to learn just how much you'd have frittered away of you hadn't joined us. Do take care of that terramundi and don't do what they ask...and break it come November! :( There's a section on post 1 page 1 on how to get your cash out - and still use the pot for next year. :D

That's a bit much with staff needing to wear coats, 32b3, can they not turn it off until it's necessary?

All the best with that wad of notes, mrsdalloway. :D

I hope you had a lovely time with your BFF, Rosy, a precious 'catch up' I'll bet...money too! :j
Just a quick post to say thankyou for the welcome. We have been shopping today, so have a bit of change but dh has it and he has gone to bed. I will update with how much in the morning. He's going to hate me going this challenge, he's always moaning I pinch his money, now I'm going to want it every day, lol.

It's lovely to know you're so committed, charlieyates, is it worth perhaps NOT letting your DH know about SPC...until November when you show him how much he's helped you save?! Then you can encourage him, or maybe you won't need to. :D By the way, please could you add your No to your signature...details are on the previous page. Thank you.

What's this then, jakes-mum, nowt left to sell to make up the short fall? :rotfl: If it ain't nailed down...it'll be gone...right?!!! :p

Hi sue I know what you mean, I think Yorkshire is classed as a high end holiday place with scarbrough, whitby and filey really nice places. Last year we went to wales and we only paid £190 for 3 adults and 2 children with caravan and awning etc, this year for only 2 adults and 2 children the only ones I have found are between £350 < cheapest and £450/£500 for haven sites ahhhh that's far too much, I don't want anything too fancy just a nice site with a bit of fun for the kids so we can have a lazy day in between all the madness. Back to the drawing board I go lol - a lonely £1 potted for me last night and 50p for OH milk money haha xx

Flippin heck, braddy, that's scandalous, though if it's entertainment you're after for the kiddies then that's what they up the charges on quick as lightening! :( The only more reasonable ones I know are Forestry camp sites, but there's no entertainment on those apart from plenty of fun in exploring the woodland, but it certainly tires them out. Have a look on the "Holidays" part of MSE, you never know your luck. I hope you can find somewhere reasonable, not easy in school holidays!!

Oh dear, Lynsey, but at least you'll enjoy that element of surprise and it'll probably push you harder now to be sure of it. ;)

I understand you completely, little_sweetie, though that was explained to me last year as: they wouldn't have any life if they weren't reared for meat, and at least they get chance to live life before the end. Not an easy one, but I can understand it a little.

Ah...we always get one in our midst, Indie Kid, for now it looks as though you are that one! :rotfl:

Have a really lovely weekend, folks, enjoy the weather as it's supposed to be good!! :grinheart

 Of course theres still stuff to sell  BUT if I added it to the shopping fund what would I put in the pot?? :rotfl::rotfl:

Talking of the pot, had the bloke come this morning for the first stage of DH's stairlift this morning, they had to take out the huge bottom step we had so the lift will be able to go to the floor, when he took it out he found a £2 coin underneath :T :D :T :D into the pot its gone to be with its mates, wonder how long it had been down there as we've lived here nearly 9 years and never looked underneath it so not sure if it was from previosu owners or it managed to get in there from someones pocket, either way it wasnt from MY purse so is free money :rotfl:

No cash spent this week - all our supermarket shopping is done with Avios credit cards...... however, I have found £1.20 "DH booty". :D

  • Woo hoo! Three crisp tenners saved. I never expected to save that much in a week.

Withdrew this week's shopping money and treated myself to a bunch of daffodils to celebrate this spring weather...they were only £1, but I couldn't resist potting the £4 change. Oops! Looks like we might be eating a bit frugally this week then!

So far so good with this saving lark, but I hope I'm going to be able to keep it up. I'm one of those people who get carried away by a good idea at first, but then get sidetracked and slip up. I need to keep in mind the thought of all that dosh waiting for me in November.

Night night everyone, and happy potting :)
