Potted a fabulous €4 yesterday.. I've no idea how much is in my pot.. I'd love for it to be a huge amount at the end of the year to go towards the last of our savings for our big day next year..
Very little fruit and veggies in the house but I am planning on waiting until tomorrow before I decide to head to the little corner shop. OH is away this week so I can't get to the big shop without paying for a taxi and I refuse to do that! Hoping he is back next weekend so we can do a full food shop.. My cupboard is beginning to look empty!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Morning all. :santa2: (Is it too early for that?)
Sorry to hear so many people are poorly!!Hope Miss Lily had a better night and that your little ones are better to Braddy. DD had it last Thursday and was last sick on Saturday morning, not that there was anything to be sick with...poor little mite! I had it the weekend before. There is a lot of it going around our school, six children in DD's class came down with it the same day!!
Also a BIG get well soon for Sparky!!
Potting a little bit and paid a little chunk off the credit card so over the first 10% cleared now!! :j
I also received an email yesterday to say that I have an interview for the Uni course that I want to start in September...exciting!!! :dance: Take care of yourselves, especially you poorly ones!! :heart2:Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

Morning everyone, I hope you all have a lovely day and have a GREAT weekend with loved ones.
Well saved, ETO. It was lovely to read your little treasure was an IVF baby too, though had you already told us that? I know someone did, but.....!lynnejk wrote:Still on the 2 cigs after dinner (2nd week) so hope to cut those after this week. If I manage then all I've saved this month will go in the pot and then the whole lot in the bank (don't like much money in the house) and then will earn a little interest on it as well
All best wishes with the 2 a day, Lynne, it worked wonders for me to be able to completely knock it on the head - that was 15 years & 2 months ago!!! Best thing (aside from marriage and kiddies) that I ever did! :jsmiffy64 wrote:How do we get gold stars Sue?
You get those for doing good deeds, smiffy, like welcoming a new member aboard in my absence and asking them to see the 1st post on the 1st page to see exactly what SPC's about. Others have received them when doing good deeds/advising other members.
Please don't get listening to other members who try hard to flog em!
Thanks for the giggle, Lynsey. So, come on then...where are you going? How long for too?
Good to hear you took it all on board, Betsie. You'll be so chuffed come November when you've saved so much! There's a lot of saving to do between now and then. That's not sad, Betsie, it's FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
Well saved, Nell.
What a mess things are at the moment for you, Beccah, I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your Son, but all being well with the right support and help you'll be ok, I truly do hope so. One thing's for sure: It'll help you to be compassionate after studying for a childcare qualification. One thing at a time though (if possible) finish off the decorating and move along gently. Most of all - be kind and patient with yourself. Many {{{hugs}}} for you all. :A
Good to hear you're well, little_sweetie, I'm hoping the little ones are too.
WOW!!! That's incredible potting, queendiadoable! :j Very well done.
Good luck with the interview, mossy, I hope it goes well.mrsdalloway wrote: »I'm loving this forum!! Feeling so good that I've finally begun to address my financial problems, and who'd have known that I'd actually enjoy SAVING!!!

Woopydoo indeed, mrsdalloway!!! It's wonderful to hear the joy you now have due to MSE and a new way of living. All the very best to you - and with that potting!!!!!!! :jTake care, folk, and enjoy a really lovely weekend!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.

Morning all.
lynnejk & Sue - off to the Algarve for a week (thanks to last years potting efforts). Hope the weather is half decent.
mrsdalloway - good luck with your saving and debt free target. Big target and short time really, but it would be great achieve that.
I potted a single £1 coin. Could well be it for today, but should get a lot more tomorrow.

A £ for me today, which made a lovely noise when it hit the now, quite substantial pile of shrapnel in the tin. I can't wait for the magic day when I can get my tin opener out and run my hands through all that cash........I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Hi Sue, thanks for letting us know about Sparky, hope he's recovered enough to come back soon.
((((Hugs)))) to all poorly kids, get better soon. Trust it to happen at half term.
Have you seen about the Kew Garden 50p coin. Supposed to be the rarest coin in Britain, worth about £120. Keep your eyes peeled for one.
Potted 61p yesterday and got a £2 coin and 2 x 5ps to pot today.
Sorry for missing out all the news, that confounded Black Dog is prowling again. Hugs to everyone whatever their news.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50
