    Hello my lovelies!! :)

Hugs to those that need them. Can't believe how much the thread has grown since I last had time to pop on!!!!! Just goes to prove how lovely we all are on here!! :D

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!! :xmastree: We had a really nice holiday. We were so lucky with the flights out of Heathrow and then back home via New York. Very grateful that the bad weather seemed to come just after or just before us and our flights were on the whole pretty good!! The suitcase which had presents from santa in didn't arrive and so I had to make an emergency shopping trip to Target on Christmas Eve!!! :o Still it all worked out in the end!! :santa2:

Anyway, the credit card bill sort out/repaying challenge will commence shortly. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!! :)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

So sorry you had a carp day Jakes-mum. bloomin men and lazy a$$ parents!!!

We have parking issues up at DD's school where parents just abandon their cars anywhere creating a very dangerous situation when children are trying to cross the road. Some of the parents contacted the police and we do get police officers who patrol around the school every once in a while to check on the parking. It has helped ease it a bit. Hopefully your email will prompt something similar. I would also suggest contacting the head. Maybe a polite letter could be sent out to all parents highlighting the danger to their own children (some parents don't care unless it affects them)?

Hope you have a better day tomorrow xx

Head teachers are the first to try and rectify the parking situation of bad parking. Unfortunately it falls on deaf ears with some parents. My FIL passed away while I was at work and I tried to leave in my car and a parent blocked me in. Even though I had just got into my car . I had to ask them could them move . Their reply. " Ah I won't be a minute". My daughter , who was in school to help out, was in tears. You just can't win with some people.

Aww,hugs to everyone who needs them;it sounds like some of us are really struggling at the moment.
Selling items is a funny ol' caper, isn't it?Every now and again I get it in my head I am going to sell stuff (toys and clothes, mostly),that kids have grown our of.I write the listing, take photos, spend hours putting on different free sites, then WAIT....and wait....and wait....My ads drop further down the listings, get forgotten.
Well, last week I got emails reminding me to renew some ads I've had online.Did this, and this week I have had 2 sales!!I mentioned a £6 sale on Wednesday, today I made another £10.All safely potted :money:.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, a few woes sadly, but best wishes to you all at this time. Nice post from Nell to lighten things up.
Welcome to more new potters - good luck and enjoy your saving.

Another not to bad day here, neighbours actually had their washing outside on the line yesterday. lol

I potted 2 more £2 coins and a 20p coin = £4.20. I'm being very frugal on food spends, but getting change from the small purchases - advantage taken to feed my pot.

Have a great weekend and save if you can.

YOU CAN DO IT, Sams!! :j I do hope you were/are successful as it'll give you such a huge buzz with your cash and doing so much exercise and may well start you off on doing even more to save instead of forking out hard-earned cash to bus/train companies! Go for it whenever possible!

    I DID IT!!!! :j :j :j

Cant believe I actually did it. It took me an hour and a half but I made it. My DD and OH couldnt believe it. Felt very proud of myself, and money in the pot to boot :)

I've not had the best day today all round. I witnessed an accident earlier and had to wait with someone for the ambulance to arrive, this meant that I missed my coursework deadline and will have to hand in on Monday instead with a 10% penalty.

Sorry to hear your good and thoughtful act turned against you, could you not appeal?

    Have a lovely weekend all.
