I am still catching up with all the posts but i just popped in to say yesterday my sister boyfriend bought a car (he crashed his old one so has bought a cheap 206 to drive around in whilst he fixes his). Since it's basically an older version of mine i jumped in to take a look and managed to find 25p mostly in coppers which he said i can keep
My mummy also found 8p roadkill :j. All potted to the relevant pots along with some change i had in my purse.
Edit: Now [STRIKE]12[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]10[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]6[/STRIKE] 4 pages to read until i am caught up...... Going to take a break and look for office kill....... No money found so potted some lemon drizzle cake into my bellySealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
starnac - a very warm welcome home! Though I might also add...about time too!!!Sorry you were temporarily elbowed, but as you say it's been a good long while, though I know you'll be visiting more often - yes?
Delilahh - a very warm welcome home back to you as well.hello just broke the £200 mark
Wow, sexyshark!! That was quick, very well done you!! :j
£27.74 this week making my total £213.52
Brilliant saving for you also, Monkeyballs!!!
Good to hear you've had some more cash, nu1isit?. Good luck with the girls til they go back to school, bless em. :A:A
Good potting, nanto3girls.
Very thoughtful of you, Emily.
I'm saying absolutely nowt about you being adopted or swapped at birth, jakes-mum. :silenced: Good for you on selling some things for your Mum.lustyrusty wrote: »I found a penny today but I handed it over to my Mammy like the good child I am. She's well into the idea of 'find a penny, pick it up....' so nothing in my pot today.
Probably best to start praying now.
I know the rest of that saying, lustyrusty, but it's the person who picks it up who gets the luck! Think on in future and pot it yourself. :A All the best with your car, I hope it won't be quite so pricey as you suspect, but best to look on that side rather than be optimistic and get a real shock.
Good for you in the quick acting, Ruth!!
No harm in wishing with the cleanliness of the coins eh, Lynsey. :rotfl:mumof3plusoh wrote:£1 potted in the pot so trying to stay on track as told Sue she could give me a kick up the a*** if I don't.:rotfl:
That's right, mumof3plusoh, and I'm keeping an eye on you and counting the days you don't turn up!! Good luck with the weight though it shouldn't take too long to get it off. Don't forget your stairs are a huge tool, so go upstairs twice every time you need to go once. BTW, drink plenty of fluid for the head as you may well be a bit dehydrated. I hope it soon goes.
Time to be patient now, Nikkiclaire, just keep a sharp eye around the house.
Your pot'll be loving you, Eyebright, either that or biting your hand off!!
25p in the pot after DH had to pop to the local shop.
Sorry SPCers, but NOT so much off-topic chatter, please or we'll be informed by a higher authority! One member should definitely know better!
Have a lovely time when you go on Sunday, sparky, love to J also.
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. little_sweetie wrote: »Hi jakesmum sorry to be a pain 'cos I know you've explained all this before but how do I find my local FB selling page please? Things seem to sell quickly on there for you. I use fleabay but each listing takes a week, as you know. I suppose FB sales are collected? The only problem might be my remote country location :undecided Any tips much appreciated!
x
Your not a paingo on your FB and in the search bar at the top type your village/town name and 'sell' and it should bring up underneath some pages for your area. Also if you work further afield try your work town name as well
.
Each page has its own 'rules' some allow 15 individual posts, others say more than 3 posts you have to make an album (these tend to be the large well established ones).
If someone wants your item they will comment under the picture, remember it is like a big car boot so expect some low ball offers! If your happy to sell, they pm you for your address and to arrange a collection time. You can also offer to deliver/meet them somewhere if it's more convenient for you both, I do a bit of all 3, if DH has a hospital appointment he will drop stuff off to people in the next town etc.
The best thing about FB selling is 1) no fees and 2) they check the item before they give you money so no carp about it not working or damaged. You will get the odd person who doesn't show up but at least your already at home and you don't have an 8 day struggle to get paid/get your fees back.
With your pricing, check completed listings on eBay, take off the fees it would have cost you to sell through there and that's your price. New items I tend to google and undercut the lowest price I can find in the stores, Obv if you just want rid, cheap moves fast! Where I am people will travel about 20 miles for small stuff, further for bulky items like furniture that's well priced.
EDIT: is that me Sue?? I thought I'd been really good with being on topic recently  here's a question, if your talking about ways to make more money for potting is that classed as on topic or off topic  anyway, no more pennies for me today, pots already had them all :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
