    Good morning everyone
Mission accomplished re the Christmas lights, a mahoosive saving of £148.00, so 3 boxes of 720 led lights (2160 bulbs ) for £99.99 instead of £247.99. :T
    :)

Golly Gosh !! That sure is a lotta lights sparky - you got shares in the leccy company :rotfl:

Oh dear, I feel like the left-overs from something. Think it must be chrissy lethargy and I had to go shopping for essentials :( Think DH confused as he parked in a metered bay today and was walking away - when I pointed it out he said he thought it was Sunday :rotfl: - time he went back to work methinks

Have spent the last couple of days going through all my clothes, having a sort out - stuff that I'm taking on hols (to get it all washed and ironed in good time) and some things for the charity shop.

Put my Saturday £1 in the pot and tree is now 6" and looking good ;)

Hope you all have a tranquil Sunday

 How the deuce do you spend THAT MUCH on bedding without at least including the ruddy mattress, claireyfairy???! My DH would have gone bonkers or thought I was! Kindly no comments to that last bit, anyone!

I'm hoping it's an investment, think I'm bonkers and hence the guilt. :o I shall just be very virtuous with my food shopping to compensate. Honest:A:A:A:A. I've even put the savings into my ISA, still feel guilty. Lentils for dinner for the next month in the fairy house!!:D

  • I have a confession, I went to the shops to buy paint for my bedroom. Well I've had my eye on a gorgeous duvet set from habitat, the duvet cover was £95 & the pillowcases were £20 each. The cover was reduced to £75 & pillowcases were £14; plus an extra 20% off, I just couldn't leave it on the shelf.

All in including the paint I got £29.96 discount plus the £32 off the original price. I shall add the £61.96 to my pot. I'm so glad I didn't buy them before Christmas but still feel a bit guilty. ;)

Well good for you I say!:T I think that you managed to purchase a bargain!

I have often seen things I like and then thought they are too expensive and I cannot justify that amount of money and either gone without or worse bought something cheaper and ended up hating it wishing id saved and bought the original item I wanted - But not anymore - life is too short and we all work too damn hard to not have a little bit of luxury now and then:rotfl:

Get out those paint brushes claireyfairy and do your thing then when you go to bed relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour feeling really special (& not guilty) in your lovely bedding xx

I'm with meowhouse on the bedding, you spend 1/3 of your life in bed, why wouldn't you invest in nice, comfy bedding? Don't worry Clairey, I'm sure DH and I spent well over £60 on our last lot of bedding, and the one thing I notice is how darned warm we are against the old cheap mr t specials, plus it all still looks exactly how it did the day we bought it! No bobbles or thinning that I have found :D

Talking of spending, oh dear, I just couldn't stop yesterday :o £60 online at ikea, £36 at tesco, £60 filling up the car (ok those were necessary but still!) and then £58 at next online, where I only bought for me! DH nearly had a coronary! DS tried to talk to me while I was buying clothes and he was shouting 'no! Back away from her! She's actually buying herself clothes, don't give her an excuse to not go through checkout!' It was still all sale items (well I cant be paying full price for things!) but I did get some clothes so won't look like an old hobo anymore :rotfl:

Got to go buy some spuds today as mr t only had today's date  which they can stick somewhere rude for full price ;) so hopefully some money in pot later :D
