Great! :T I'll have to amend my tally as I was counting days that I paid with gift cards as a Spend Day.
I went into work on Tuesday and covered somebody else's shift, and then yesterday I had the day at home with Hubby. It was a productive day as we got the tree up and decorated, made 2 batches of mince pies, of which 23 went into the freezer, the rest are for eating now or went through Quality Control. Then last night we put a futon up for sale on faceb00k and it sold within 10 mins. T'was a good day :T
Hubby's Christmas party to go to tonight, I'm really looking forward to all the lovely food, but hoping to make it out of there at a decent time.
Here are the amended scores on the scores:-
SFD 11 /15 :j
Food 121.92/187.50 65.02%
Petrol 18.75 /75.00 25.00%
Hair /56.25
"Spend Money" /18.75
Post Office 5.69/18.75 30.34%
Food Bank 5.07/ 5.00 101.4%
Budget 151.43 / 361.25 = 41.92%
Personal Challenge
Declutter 11 / 10 (5 x Christmas stockings/2 x cushion covers/1 x pr trousers/single duvet/jacket/shopping bag).

Thriftylass - Your kitchen looks amazing, you've done a really good job, and what a lovely big kitchen you have.0

Thank you. That kitchen sold me the house. I don't mind small bedrooms (and they are small, but you only sleep there) but I wanted a kitchen where I can at least swing a cat (not ours though) and where I can walk inbetween appliances rather than just turn around
. I still need to do more to it (paint walls, scrub etc) but that way at least it will do another few years before we do it up properly or resign it (it's the original from when the house was built in 1980 and the last one left in street I was told :rotfl:).

Good afternoon fellow Hobbitses!
Thrifty - Great job with the kitchen! The Red Tiles are a really nice contrast against the colour of the cupboards :T
Abundant - Being in a relationship and debt busting is really hard work! My OH took quite a while to accept that I wasn't willing or able to go on holiday this year. His friend's have been away 3 times this year (abroad!) and each time asked us to come, to which I had to say 'No, I can't afford it' no matter how good a deal they tried to sell us! Also trying to convince him that having a meal at a restaurant, every week was not cost effective (which is hard when you first start dating someone as they tend to be the places you initially go), but as times gone on it's easier to cook at home at each others houses as the perceived need to impress starts to kerb. He's been very supportive of my SFD's etc... however he's definitely not had his own LBM and spends money like there's no tomorrow and compares his lifestyle to his friend's who also haven't had their LBM's but are also in better paid work.
Anyways,
Just wanted to write a quick post (which has turned into a load of waffle as usual) about cutting my own hair. I bought some clips (similar to crea clips) and some nice hairdresser scissors about a week ago, and was determined to learn to cut my own hair.
I watched a few y0utube clips on how to use/ cut with crea clips, and found one that I thought I could follow and thought the end result was what I was after. So this morning, was the morning, I cut my own hair. I just straightened my hair and followed the step-by steps and was shocked at how easy it was! You can cut fringes, sweeping fringes, layers and feather with these plastic bits of genius! I only went for layers and feathering, have just grown out my fringe, but the option is there should I want it.
Really pleased with the end result, only took a small amount off for my first trial, but still happy with that! For half the cost of a haircut at my old hairdressers (I haven't been for a year!), I now have the tools to cut my own hair! :T Win!:coffee:

YEAH!!!! So proud... Whoop!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

Just looked them up and think I'll spend my first Amaz0n vouchers on clips like those. They look a bit more reliable and versatile than my ponytail on crown technique.
Just found another 1.79 in my TCB account so will get them soon and might have a decent haircut for christmas, YAYDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Siouxsie - Uber jealous of your Mac book purchase!! One day when all this is done, that will be my first purchase!
Abundant- I feel your pain. My partner is hard work with trying to get him on board with the whole Debt busting thing so can't imagine what its like when your half trying to impress someone too (those days long gone for me)
Thrifty- Kitchen looks fab. My sister has just done that in her house and it made a huge difference.
Tiptoes - I'm hearing you. I'm getting fatter and unfitter by the second!
Wow hope I remembered everyones names to conversations right. Will be nothing short of a miracle if I have0 -
Not sure when I'll be able to check in again as I'll go home tomorrow till the 19th. See you thenDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
