Pakra chan - you know, I could have the name totally wrong, this is wht my friend (who taught me the recipe) called it. It's lentils, cooked with tumeric and finely sliced onion. Then when it's cooked, fry off some chilli flakes with a spice mix (need to find it's name) and when the flavours are in the oil, drop it all in the lentil mix. I can post up a recipe if needed?

It was my first attempt at lentils and two mistakes - my chilli was really old, and has lost it's flavour so there was no heat kick, and I think I need to add more water next time - it was fab straight after, but overnight in the fridge turned it dry as it soaked more water in (ie there was not moisture/gravy left after it had gone in the fridge)

Sooo.. I have my lunch with me (munching at the mo) of left over hm pizza, chips and garlic dough balls. Last one so no more until we have it for dinner again... But... I think I'm about to slip on the challenge by a day - I've got a hugely strong urge to get a diet coke and bag of Chilli Heatwave Dorritos from the vending machine :o I know I could just not, but I'm soooo bored (but have lots to do) and have a mass craving for them. Sorry guys, I'm going to cave in just today xx

Thanks guys, not in the least tempted by any of her food as she is the main culprit of the dirty microwave!! It's not the first time it's happened to me or others in the office but it will definitely be the last.

Anyway, day 13 completed today with ham salad on a cheesy roll again and a small piece of leftover lemon cheesecake yum yum.

Only need lunches for Monday and Tuesday. Have a great weekend everyone x

  • Hello, hello. Will items 12\14 for me now. I have been feasting on sandwiches copious amounts of matchmakers, Pringles and a slab of Victoria sponge cake.

We had our Christmas do this week and it was great :). Can't believe Christmas is so close. Must finish shopping and do wrapping!

Hi Everyone :) Had another super early night last night, so sorry for not updating sooner :)

    Have updated you all.

Well done to me, Cathy, Brangwen for reaching targets for this month :):)

I am definitely going to be starting a thread for January, so look out for that nearer the time. I hope to add some more ideas with links.

But don't worry, i will still be concentrating on this thread up until 31st December :)

Nothing like a lovely bowl of warm soup in this weather :) I only like tomato soup and have never tried HM soup as it seems too much of a messy affair for me.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)

Good Evening, LTW'ers! I hope you've had a lovely Sunday? I had lots of things planned...but didnt get around to doing ANY of them :D

My lovely clients have been very generous this festive period. I have had £120 tips and 2 bottle of rather nice bubbly. How kind of them, it's so sweet.

I hope you are all thinking of your LTWs for next week (for those who are working)? I am only working until 12.30 tomorrow, but am thinking of what i can have for lunch when i get home. I think it'll be ham salad sarnies again. Need to use up the ham.

No doubt the kiddywinkles will have eaten all the Christmas goodies by the time i get home :D
