Well I got what I wanted for DD, TBBT box set :D:j Yes its a 15 but she loves the show and watches it all the time. I've been looking at it for months but it was over £45, but I've just got it for £22 as I have some un-used gift voucher balance :D Ex is going halves on the cost of her main gift, so just a calender, a CD, some goodies for her basket, and stocking fillers to go. I might get her something else, but it depends on how much the stocking ends up costing me! She won't have much under the tree this year, but she knows that its still the same amount of money spent ;)

My iron has sprung a leak  I only got it in May so going to email Br3ville now to see what they say. Looking at the reviews I'm not the only one to have had this problem. I thought maybe that other person had dropped it or something, then when mine leaked I assumed it was the way DD had filled it. But no, I have just found it surrounded by a pool of water on the worktop

Going to make some lunch in a minute and then get on with some more jobs. Everything seems to be taking ages today. :(

  • Afternoon flyladies :hello:

I have just managed to bag myself a K@rcher window vac on a Black Friday deal :D they sold out in seconds, glad I set a pinger on my phone to remind me.

Have been out all morning with DS2 at the dentist again :( He is so frightened about going and he needs teeth taken out and a filling, I think we will be toing and froing for months to come. My laptop is just about to restart after updating, so I will use this as motivation to get off my lazy backside and achieve something with my Monday!

    Until later...
  • I did 2 HHC earlier & just did a quick whizz around.
Been to the doctors who said small child's chest is probably clear. He did check I was getting all the help for his autism so that was good.

Just about to have some lunch & will then Hoover through.

Ionafan, how do you do it all?

Top layer of house flash-dy$oned, stairs swept with car-pet and soup scoffed. Hob, kitchen floor and bathroom floor all washed.

The yoghurt made in the slow cooker on Saturday and strained for 24 hours is thick enough to patch a tyre! OH says it's fabulous, so that is going to save us a fair penny or three in the future. Does anyone know if live yoghurt frozen would still be 'live' afterwards, like yeast? And, do Milton tablets bleach as well as sterilize?
    Better is good enough.

Oh dear, not done a lot - not even emptied WM and it's been finished for 90 mins :o. Have done 1 typing job and been to cranial osteo (back is feeling very delicate now) and, um, won 2 lots of material on fleabay. Oh, and got a Darth Vader costume and light sabre for DS from Ama&on. That's it - not good is it.

Anyone want to fling a fluffy mule please, minding my rickety back?!

    *shy hello*

I've started to declutter my house and want to stay on top of things, so I'd like to try and keep up with you all on this thread as best I can :)

So today is living room, hall and stairs day...

Well, I'm going to set the kitchen timer for 15mins and see how much junk I can shift in these areas for a start :) Babysteps ;)

Do we do before and after photos? (although it might be a little shameful!)

Small progress with the lists. I've been ironing for the last hour and the washing machine is being fed continuously.

The bunk beds are now in DD1's old bedroom. They have had lunch and are now back upstairs assembling the double bed in DD2/DS3's old room. DD1 has dumped the contents of her wardrobe on my bed  The bed may crash through the floor into the garage with that weight on it!

Running out of room on the maiden and I still have 6 washloads to go.

Monday ~ Lovely Lliving Room, Happy Hall and Safe Stairs

Clean windows in these areas, check curtains/nets/blinds while you are there, do they need a clean?
    Got an hour...
Wash any soft furnishings in need

    Tidy coats/shoes bags etc
Extra Mission Tasks~ if you want to do more

Check you have your Christmas card list done, if it's not done at least spend 10 minutes on it
Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
Spend half an hour doing something for yourself

Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!

Living room is kind of hard, we have a combo living room / dining room... but as we not decorated, we still have unpacked boxes, all the tools and kids toys (I'm on doing DD room) - so I did the best I could and although we still have CHAOS, looks better - can I dare say that with no wall paper or carpets :rotfl:my OH laughs when I say it looks nice!!!!

Okay so my updated list, I've decided to just do what I can from it and not play catch up at all, so whatever isn't done won't be getting done... I have glossed all my DD room this morning it's probably going to take another coat and her cupboard door most likely 3 or 4 (it was bare wood before I primed it last week)

    Okay enough from me!

    My Own This week
Gloss door x3 – (DD room door) – done 1
    Prime downstairs doors x4
    Gloss DD skirting / sile & cupboard boor x 2/3 done 1

I'm not going to overwhelm myself, so this is what I'd like to get done – If I don't then so be it!

Just about to get back to jobs after a lunch break.

Think I'll get some ironing done. The iron is safe to use, as long as I don't leave it standing upright and I can carry on watching my films so 2 jobs in one. I'd rather do it then leave it to DD, just in case.
