What you get can depend on what the payer has put in the reference field - some can be very uninformative.
Thanks dzug1! That's good to know. There must be something wrong with my account that it's not showing up. One transaction I experienced issues was little verification transaction e.g. Ping it and PayPal, there was no reference displayed.
There's also no reference displayed when I send someone a payment. Perhaps something is broken on my account.0
