So with flexdirect ( that's the online 5% account?) there is a page with all transaction on since the last statement?
Do they still post out statements these days or are they just online?0 -
You have the option of paper or online statements. You can also download statements"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Nationwide have demos of their online banking here:-

Does it make you use the security device for every transfer, even if it's been set up previously? Is that the same regardless of how you log if (using security device or otherwise?)
Smile has the card reader but only makes me use it for setting up a new payee, really don't want to have to use it every time I pay a bill or transfer money
Cheers
It does for me when logging in with passwords.
I accept having to use the device for setting up a new payee, just as I have to with Barclays and RBS but having to find the card reader, one of the cards etc everytime to redo the same payment is an irritation (just as HSBC Business requiring you to use to their device to log in with no other option is a pain)0 -

There is no option of statements through the post for FlexDirect. See 3.1.

Do they make you use the card reader device to complete transactions when logged in?
It depends.
You can log in without the card reader just by using your memorable words but it does generally require the card reader to make payments(unless they're payments between Nationwide Accounts).
There is a way round it though. If you already have the payment set up then you can't make a payment online without your card reader... Unless you use the mobile/tablet app instead which just needs your password.
Overall, it's one of the better internet banking platforms I've used!0 -
Thanks guys, this is all very helpful, have been with smile since it opened, so want this move to be right for us as likly to stay for a number of years
Can I just confirm that with the online view on flexdirect I will be able to see all transactions since the last statement, not just the last 12 or so ?0 -
