I'm still here. Last week was just ridiculous, this week I look grim with the biggest bags under my eyes ever, and am exhausted, but still staying positive.:D
Where last week disappeared to is anyone's guess.
I read all of your messages yesterday, thankyou so much . I will try and answer later if I can.
Quick roundup of last week -
Few more Sigs updated, tax bill heading downwards, I have an action plan which hopefully fall into place.
I ended up in A&E needing stitches, managed to slice the end of my thumb off nearly. Its not looking the prettiest but thankfully as the girls said " Mum your not a hand model so it doesn't matter !" They are correct of course !
DD2 took a spectacular stumble in the shower, nearly knocked herself out , ended up covered in bruises with a swollen and cut foot and ankle. In the absence of any ice, think it had all been used on my thumb we located a piece of frozen ginger covered in icicles and soothed her aches and pains with that !She looked hilarious with a lump of fresh ginger strapped to her foot with surgical tape !! I did remember it throw it in the bin when she had finished with it and it wont be turning up in a curry in the near future !! :rotfl:
DD1 took herself off into London for a concert earlier in the week, she had booked and paid for the tickets herself and armed with a thousand directions, train times apps and websites and maps from me off she went on her merry way !! had the time of her life, was a good as gold even leaving early to ensure that she got the train home that I had insisted she be on. Her friends that she traveled with were totally left to their own devices and I swear their parents didnt have a clue where they were. I was on tenderhooks all night long as the original plan was that we were to travel into London to collect as I wasn't happy about her being there so late at night, but Mr PG got sent to Paris that night so it was just DD2 and I and too late to drag her all the way to London on a school night, so she took the train in the end and I collected at 1am from the station with DD2 wrapped in a sleeping blanket snoring on the back seat ! All other parents refused to collect insisting that their children could get a cab despite there being none available in the early hours of a Wednesday morning and their children being 25 mins from home still.:mad: These parents went to bed and made so many excuses as to why they couldnt collect despite their being two parents at home it begged belief, so as usual it fell on me to pick up as there was no way I was leaving DD1 stranded obviously, but of course I then had to do the drop offs for the friends while their parents were curled up in bed !! Makes me so mad !!
Last week was a year ago since I lost my lovely dad. I tried not to dwell on anything and we kept ourselves busy. DD1 went to the concert on this date and while she was there I took DD2 for Pizza and the movies. This wasnt the proudest moment of my life as she had chosen the movie, I just went along with her choice as she said it was a comedy. Just what we needed we decided !! Sadly on arrival we discovered that the movie, as funny as it was , was about some grandchildren spending their last ever holiday with their grandad who was dying !:eek: We had a whispered conflab in our seats as to whether to stay or go and decided that it was fine, the movie looked good and we wouldn't think about things , just watch it. The grandad then proceeded to pop his clogs in front of his grandchildren, we weren't expecting that bit . This obviously upset DD2 and I was completely mortified. It was supposed to be a fun evening just the two of us to take our mind off of the date and all it did was remind us all the more !! We did stick the movie until the end and it was a really good film, just that the timing was awful. We have since seen the funny side and laughed about it and decided that my dad would be laughing with us too. As Mr PG said to me " It could only happen to you !!"
A million other things happened last week but for the life of me I honestly cant remember them but I do know I barely had time to do a wee.
Mr PG came home Friday night and took the weekend off !! :T:T
Friday night was taken up with parties for both the girls, in two opposite directions, but we muddled through and got to bed at 2am !
Saturday was lost with some of the other problems going on that I briefly touched on last week, but I Cant go into detail on those. It had to be dealt with and was far more important than anything else that needed doing so it was fine but exhausting. Saturday night we chilled together and watched a movie and drank wine !!
Sunday Mr PG made a huge breakfast, we tackled a few long overdue jobs and then went to visit my gorgeous niece and her hubby who we havnet seen since MArch. Wa had a fantastic time and it all felt lovely and normal.
Mr PG is now away again until Friday night and then again Saturday morning but hopefully things will settle down a little for the duration of this contract, fingers crossed. It was day one yesterday and all went well.
Right I must dash, have a day of meetings and a night of charging around with the girls.
Hope you are all well xxx
Brogden thankyou for your post about the tax, think we have it all in hand. Thankyou for your concern, it is a huge worry. Just quickly, we cant lower any payments with the Predators without rocking the boat and we are just getting back on an even keel with them after the last year of difficulties. We think we can kick the bill into touch just in time for the next one, but with a few months of guaranteed work and if this goes well the possibility of two years of guaranteed work and with loads of planning and money juggling I think we will get sorted. I hate THEM so much !! xxx.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

You're the boss Mrs PG
I used to give all to predators and nothing to the 'sleeping crocodiles.' I now give everything to the 'sleeping crocodiles' and the predators can wait........once bitten......Ha that's why the debts are going down slowly :rotfl: I know you've thought about THEM - they're obviously under control!!!
All the absolute best M'Dear!!!
