I swear by Borax for killing ants...and it is useful as laundry cleaner too.

As they share the same digestive system (as it were) they take it back to the nest and it kills em all...

Pleased to hear you're all coping :)

I have some Borax in the cupboard, apparently its good for killing weeds but I have never actually got around to trying it.

The Ants have disappeared for now but I will give it a go if they return ! Thankyou xx

I have 4 cats that come into our garden because we feed the birds, my useless dog (who is smaller than 2 of the cats) just lays there whilst they come in and try to eat the birds and then poo in our garden (grrrrrrrr)!

Enjoy the bread and dripping lol (so long as the kids are happy eh)! xx

Bread and Drippings going down a treat !! :rotfl:

We have an ant invasion, came down yesterday morning to them all over hall and kitchen floor. Yuk !! I couldn't find the ant stuff, so we googled natural remedies which included lemon juice and chalk. We squeezed the lemons where we thought they were coming in and drew chalk mark around the area as apparently they dont like to cross the Chalk Lines !!! It looked like a Crime Scene for Ants with Yellow Chalk marks all over the floor !!! :rotfl: But it appears to have worked !

When we had an ant invasion (every summer for what felt like years but none this year so far (touches wood)) we put talcum powder along the door/windows - again they didn't like crossing it and on the plus side it smelt rather nice:rotfl:

Update on Borax...only kills some weeds I think so may be back to boiling water or salt. Hmm. Or the backbreaking work of digging them out of the cracks...darn.
