I'm sat here in the rain too if it makes you feel any better! And i've got a dog whining for a walk and 2 kids that have destroyed my front room
When is your DD1's exam for Biology? I was awful at all sciences at school so I feel for her! My son is the opposite and likes science and maths and hates English (which I loved) lol. You can download some good revision material from the web so long as you know what paper she is taking (i.e higher/intermediate etc) I got some for DS the other week, not sure if it helped or not though ....I guess we'll know for sure when we get the results :eek:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I dont envy you the dog and kids there DFW, isnt it a horrible day ? !! Its just me in the office and DD1 with her head stuck in a book. I think we have every form of revision material known to man here ! Last night we sat listening to Audio notes on DNA and Reproduction , that was fun !! Not !!
Bioloy is next Friday so we have a while yet, but she has exams every day next week so there's lots to do and not much time to do it in ! Her year 10 Biology Exam went fine, but its the Year 11 ones which are causing a problem, combination of gaps in her learning where she missed school, disruptive children that the poor teacher spent most of the lesson trying to control rather than being able to teach the children and gaps in her knowledge as the teacher was Canadian, so if I put on a Canadian Drawl when I ask her what Mitosis and Miosis is she understands me, if I ask her in my classy Essex accent she hasn't a clue in hell what I'm talking about !! :rotfl::rotfl:

The kids are now playing on the trampoline with wellies, rain coats and umbrellas lol they couldn't face another film and got fed up of playing "schools" (I.e mummy forcing them to do homework) and "let's find the teddy" (I.e let's pick all the toys up and tidy away everything) haha they did fall for it long enough to help clean my front room though
I love that you are that committed to helping DD that you'll put on an accentlol did make me giggle!

Better as revision than practical experience!
When I was 16, all my mother's friends were becoming grandparents and she kept wailing "I'm going to be such an old grandmother", "I'm never going to have grandchildren", etc. Keep in mind that I wasn't even remotely 'boy crazy' at this time. So, my sisters and I put up with this for a bit. After that she got the 'stock' answer: "OK, give me nine months notice and it can be arranged". Funnily enough her answer quickly changed to "never mind, I can wait"!

DD2 is home tomorrow !!! :j:j
She has had an amazing time apparently but now faces the horrible coach journey home. She has requested pancakes with strawberries for her "brunch" when she gets home !
Off out tonight with friends as DD1 is performing at a local club Slight panic on the song front as she has been so busy with revision she has nothing prepared, but I'm sure she will pull it out of the bag.
On the money front there's nothing much to report at the moment other than the usual battles and arrears we are still playing catch up with. We are going to have a bit of a gap with money coming in due to Mr PG starting a new contract which I am a bit worried about as we have been lucky enough to have had a relatively regular income for once for a few months now. I am sure we will get by though, we usually do despite the panics ! xx
Have a good day everyone, the sun is trying to peep through here.xx

Hi everyone,
Thankyou for asking Be Lucky, been a crazy week in the PG Household and had no time to post or read. I hope you are yours are keeping well.
DD2 is home, collected her at 8am from coach last Friday and drove her straight round to the doctors, I have never seen her look so ill. Spent three hours sitting in the docs where she was given antibiotics for a chest infection, she came home fell asleep and slept until 3.30 the following day she was that exhausted. By Sunday various spots were appearing all over her body, by Monday they were full of gunk and painful so we were back at docs again, this time a viral skin infection diagnosed, by Wednesday we were back again for more antibiotics as she had finished the course and no improvement. She did attempt to go to school on Wednesday but came home laid on sofa and fell straight to sleep. This morning she was complaining of blinding headaches, a painful chest....the list goes on. Back to docs this afternoon saw a nurse who decided she wanted her to see a doctor, so we went back again a couple of hours ago and they have now changed antibiotics and she is back in bed, sleeping again.
In amongst all this I have been trying to oversea the building work at the house that was damaged a while back that I mentioned, help DD1 out , getting her to and from Revision Sessions and of course the GCSEs themselves, run theBusiness of which has been very very busy this week, coordinate the the job that Mr PG is on and take my mother back and forth to the docs who is also ill.
I am slightly cream crackered to say the least !!
So theres a quick update, hope you are all well and I will hopefully catch up soon xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
