Huge thankyou to you all , its a huge relief ! :D
Its great to see all you lovely lurkers !

I can confirm that dry January did come to an abrupt halt last night :p, but Big Karl did not come out of his hiding place, simply because I was celebrating on my own, and if you were to see the size of Big Karl I would have looked like an incredibly sad and lonely Mrs PG nursing my ginormous wine glass all on my own !

Brogden, I would love to tell you an amazing tale, of tension and Court room dramas but it was all a little boring if I'm honest, we didn't even get into the Hearing Room as it was all agreed by the Judge that they would pursue us no longer with before we got there. We left the COurt four minutes after we arrived ! . We had got them to agree to amendments to the Consent Order late on Wednesday, they sent a representative to the Courts yesterday morning to present it to the judge confirming they wished to take no further action. Its all written in the Order that it is written off, cannot be collected or sold on etc etc and we have a Solicitors letter also confirming the same. We are just awaiting a copy of the Approved Order .By the time we got to the Court, it had all been done and dusted so we turned around and went on our merry way !

The most exciting part of the day was that MR PG, who had travelled three hours from work to meet me at there had arrived in full on work mode complete with Pen Knife and Leatherman in his pocket which came to light as he went through the scanner at the Court !!:rotfl:Thankfully the Security Guards found the funny side of it, but declined our request to look after it all for us until we came back out. They did recommend that next time Mr PG makes an appearance he try and dress for Court rather than the building site !

Not wanting to part forever with his beloved tools / knife, I spotted a lovely Flower Pot outside, so Mr PG nipped out there, hid his Knife amongst the blooms and we collected them on our way out whilst the Guards turned a blind eye to all of the activity going right outside their revolving doors !! !! :rotfl:

:rotfl:Nope it most definately not needed in Court, neither were the Steel Toe Cap Boots as they also helpfully pointed out !

Mr PG was totally unfazed, I think we were that confident that we wouldn't be appearing that his logic was " I have driven three hours to be here for 10am and as soon as this is over, I am getting straight int he car to go another three hours back from whence I came " Therefore the thought of somewhere in amongst all of that having a quick clothing change didn't even feature ! All I can say is thank goodness it was all done and dusted without an appearance from us !

Wine glasses now safely stashed away and its back to dry January for me :(

Yes, very relieved indeedy Pooh. There were times when the stress of that combined with looking after mum and everyone, everything else nearly drove me over the edge , but we are till here to tell the tale ! I would have handled it much better had the timing not been so awful .

BUT its done now, I am just keeping the other two keep a low profile and dont go the same way, but I learnt alot and will be much better prepared to tackle them should the need arise !

    Hope you are well xxx

  • So after a successful week, the weekend has been busy but productive also. :)

Took DD1 for a drive ( or rather she took me  ) yesterday. She did really well , my heart was only in my mouth on three occasions, but we did discover when we made it back home that we had lost two L plates on our travels !! . Mr PG insists she has four, one on the front, one on the back and one each on the driver and passenger doors !! He has also installed an in car camera incase any idiots try and wipe her off of the road . Her driving test is in a few weeks, I'm personally dont think she is quite ready to take it yet, but her driving instructor tells me otherwise . Whilst, on our travels we managed to locate some tumble down buildings that would make a great location for her Photography topic, but we coudlnt figure out who they belonged to.Coincidentally, while we a were checking them out, the owner happened to drive past and stopped to ask us what we were up to :o. After we explained, he said that he was more than happy for her to photograph his buildings, so we stood in the pouring rain for two hours while she snapped away. They came out really well , but we were soaked right through and bitterly cold.

Met with family in the afternoon and spent some time spoiling my gorgeous baby nephew :heart2:. The girls adore him and its so hard to drag ourselves away when its time to leave !

Some money news yesterday was that we finally resolved a PayPal dispute whereby they were hanging onto £300 of ours from a sale. They insisted it was because we were new ebay clients ( had an account since 2003 !) had not sold more than £135 worth of gear ( we have sold way more than that in the past 12 years!) we hadn't reached some status or other that we need to ascertain being NEW Account holders. On that basis they wanted to hold onto our money for a month  After much arguing, emailing and eventually contacting the CEOs office, we have had the money released immediately and some compensation, so we have £400 in the account waiting to be added to the Emergency / Rainy Day Fund :) . Also had a couple of sales over the weekend ,not huge but amounted to another £15 and DD2 currently has 45 watchers on an item she has listed which finishes tomorrow, so the ebay sales are going pretty well.

In my decluttering efforts I have managed to fill the paper recycling sack after discovering magazines from 2008 in a box that we use as a coffee table in the lounge ! :o

Today has been spent tackling the ironing , which as you may know is my most hated chore ever ! Once I have reduced the pile a bit I will list a few more items on ebay if I have time, and I have told everyone that I am throwing out anything that's really old and tatty and seen better days, of which there is alot of that.

DD1 has offered to help with the ironing, but is bogged down with her college work I cant see that happening and DD2 is in the midst of homework also, but hopefully I will get some help putting it all away later.

In the meantime the washing machine has decided to be temperamental and is currently stuck with a full load in, but will not drain and therefore not open the door either. I have tried all of the usual tricks but none will work and in the process have managed to put my back out  I am pretty sure the culprit will be the usual hairgrips that make their way in there all on their own, as obviously nobody ever leaves lots and lots of them in her pockets ( dear DD2 !!)

DM&DD's house is now on the market. We finalised that last week, still more clearing out to do , but its on the market. Its a very strange feeling but I have decided that as long as it goes to someone who loved it as much as they did , then I think I will be fine with that. We had our first viewer within five minutes of it going on R3gh£m0v£ , and I am waiting for a call back with feedback tomorrow.

So thats my mammoth weekend update, hope everything is going well for you all. Im off to carry on with the ironing again now.............
