    It was full blood work. The result showed 14 platelets count (critically low) no chance of blood clotting if surgery undertaken.

    Lil, this is exactly what happened in the last thread, anyone who offered sensible advice was told to shut up or go away. If you want to get a "like" from the OP just agree with what they say and offer no actual help or advice.

    That seems very low, is this 14,000 ? What units? What test?
    Was machine calibrated/ working/ been serviced in line with guidelines?

    What were other levels in blood work?

    Idexx ProCyte Dx Hematology Analyzer was used. Normal platelet count should be 148-484 Maxie's was 14, RBC was low, HCT low normal,HGB low normal. Retic hIgh, everthing else was normal.
