The trucks have had their speed cut(EU reg)
people want to be able to post at 5pm and items still be processed
duties are now longer
when a delivery is 4.5 hours+ long,you would need them on the street for 8am to even make it for 'lunchtime'
machine sorting,whilst cheaper takes longer than manual0 -
I leave for work at 7.15, so I makes no odds to me what time my post arrives up until about 5pm, and I imagine mostof the uk are in the same position.
I send around 50 items per day using Royal Mail and about 99% get there when they should and the customers are happy with the speed and service.
Someone on this thread has a bee in their Bonnet about RM, which they're entitled to have, but the service is in no way as universally bad as is being presented, otherwise I'd be out of a job as the 1000 customers I have per month wouldn't stand for the service.
It's a shame this poster has received poor service, but suggesting the network needs changing according to his requirements is not going to happen.0 -
To my requirements? I'm sorry if my "Deliver the letter and get signature as requested" You know the service I paid for is a bit much for royal mail. Oh and deliver my parcels instead of posting a red card and expecting me to go to the sorting depot to collect it.
Royal Mail in general is poor.0 -
Using couriers maybe more expensive but at least I know the item gets there0
