Also £100 without a Vodafone topup direct from Vodafone

Phone will need a £2 unlock for other networks.

I let someone have a play with ours and they ordered one straight away its that good. Sadly they went the O2 upgrade route so will by my sums pay £168 for an 8GB in effect  :(

At the current prices for just the handset contract is crazy.

The only problem I've had with the KitKat upgrade for my MotoG is the data network connectivity would drop if I moved from a secured wireless network to normal 3g or unsecured wireless hotspot. For example, I'd be on my home wireless network then when I'm in town, it would fail to find any 3g data network or wireless hotspots - voice calls not affected. At first, a reboot solved this, but a quick search on the Motorola forums came up with AP reset, which I've done, and now no problems at all.

Really pleased with mine! Nothing else comes near it for the price.

I am thinking of buying one of these as a present for my son. He's in his early twenties but still manages to drop phones constantly.
Regardless of the final size of the thing can anyone recommend an armour plated style case for this?
I looked on Amazon and received a sturdy book-type case with magnetic closing, with camera, speaker and microphone apertures. Access to on-off and volume buttons. Plus free stylus and screen protector all for £1.99. delivered. OK. it sounds cheap and its plastic (leather lookalike) but I think it's great and they have sold hundreds.

I love mine. Only problem I've had is that since the Kitkat upgrade the battery life is much shorter. Been meaning to do a factory reset to see if that solves the problem but I find that a bit of a pain to do without losing anything important.

I mentioned in an earlier post about the cheapest place for the 16gb model being Phones4U - works out at £103.50*, only a few £ more than the 8gb model.

Having put a Three sim in my new phone, I've found that it is already unlocked, so no need to spent a couple of £ getting it unlocked on ebay. This makes it virtually the same price as the 8Gb

    * Based on the above assumptions. It is £140 plus £10 topup at Phones4U and comes with a free 1 year subscription to Gourmet Society. You get £6.50 cashback from TCB or Quidco. If you donate the £10 topup to charity it is not wasted. This brings the total price back to £140, minus £6.50=£133.50.

If we say the annual Gourmet Soc membership (notional price is around £70, but you can always get it somewhere discounted) is worth £30, this brings the price down to £103.50.

Yes, and when you add up all the money you spend in expensive restaurants by being a member of The Gourmet Society, you will realise you could have bought a 5s phone! These offers that state you "save" on the cost of etc. etc. are nonsense, as you don't save anything if you weren't going to buy that in the firstplace. But the Moto G is a great phone for the money anyway !!

I went into a tesco and as they didn't have any the Tesco direct staff ordered me one and applied a £5 discount code which I wasn't expecting.
So paid £105 and £2 for the unlock code.
I was dreading doing that but it couldn't have been easier. When I put the different sim in it just asked for the 6 digit unlock code and hey presto.

    Fabulous phone.
