A present for dd has arrived - I'm soo excited! :D Santa always brings her a mermaid at Cmas (my own rod!) and I've not found one in a c shop this year. So I resorted to amaz... And I reckon she'll love it!

I have been reminded that I said that by the end of Weds, the house (or downstairs at least) would be clean, tidy and ready for the trees and decorations. Oh dear! Sooo much to do! :rotfl:

Anyhow, am at work and it is pottering along rather nicely today. I shall aim to scoot off promptly as I left dd in tears this morning. She is mega tired - proven by the fact that she was asleep before 9pm last night!

19 days till payday. Not sure why I should mention that! And 22 days till 2014mfw ends. We have smashed our target, which is fantastic. :T. So thoughts turn to 2015...

Not sure yet if I'll join a 2014mfw thread - if one runs, that is. It's a humungous amount of work to manage it and keep it updated. And given that I'm spreadsheet-phobic, I'm in total awe!

I'll need a target for the year anyway, but will wait on whether dh keeps or loses his job before doing that! Maybe 12k?

Oooh, am I garnering ponderations that might be considered goals for 2015...?

I'd like to make ALL presents - gulp. Or certainly for children. And I'm currently keen to do my school's summer fair. Not sure about dd's one at the moment....

NOT spending has to be rather high on the list :D. And sell enough stuff to reach £1000.

Dh is off on his way, back in 12 days.

Dd slept through his goodbye kisses, which is good. There's still an hour to go before I have to wake her up.

Today's jobs list is on paper and has about 25 things on it!

  • Back from an aldee shop, with the car again. Spent a little more than planned, but reckon next week should be a much much smaller one.

Dh has some more Cmas beers, and I'm going to make him a sweetie wreath. Maybe one for dd too, using werthers, as she loooves the caramelly ones.

Neighbout has just texted me asking me to get her something from the shops. Every weds this happens. And always after I get home! Will get it when I go to the bank.

Workout done: 10 air squat + jump = 1, plus belly busters. 10 of each, down to 1. 14+ mins.

    Washing up round 1 complete.

Washing waiting to be hung up. Best go do it else it won't dry, will it!

Fudge has been cut up and put into pots - 3 generous quantities. However, I'll not do this recipe again (200g butter, 200g condensed milk, 7-800g icing sugar, plus vanilla essence) as it's like butter icing! Next time I shall revert to 200g melted white choc, 175g butter, 500g icing sugar, flavouring. Nevertheless, 3 gifts done.

My left lower arm/wrist is aching. It kind of bent wrongly a few days ago when dd and I were having a tickle fight (which I won :D), and has ached on and off since then. Wearing a neoprene and velcro wrist support doesn't help, and closer examination shows that one part of it s swollen and tender. The support thingy just presses on this area, so makes it worse! Knitting is painful, as it typing (I'm on the tablet now, not the laptop). Sewing seems ok in tiny batches...

Cheese scones made and stored - they are the mainstay of dd's diet at the mo, along with toast!

And a few items posted on gumt.

    Oops - time for school!

Dh has arrived ok. And he is keeping his job :j! Phew! Good to know this side of Cmas, but sooo hard for those still 'at risk'.

Dd approves of my tidying efforts :D. She now has her 2' tree up and has decorated it. She tends to keep adding things. So eventually it will fall over!

I'm not bringing in the potted trees yet - may do it when dd breaks up. And there is still plenty of tidying to keep me occupied now I can't knit.

Well, amazingly, dd is already asleep - well before the watershed. So I am free to return downstairs. I'll need the fleecy blanket as I turned the heating off at 8. I've already done washing up round 3, so will stuff a bunny body and 2 arms then peruse the bumper edition of the radio times. I know how to live life to the full!

More fudge made - this time with white choc, butter, condensed milk, mint essence, green colouring and icing sugar. But I'd used so much icing sugar the other day that I was 100g short! Think it'll turn out ok - it's still a veritable sugar fest!

Another NSD to claim for today. Tomorrow will probably be a spendy one... Again. And the priority is to collect my glasses and pay in coins and cheques - then pay them off the mortgage :j.

I have de-constructed some of my sewing makes, as they were not up to scratch, and many were not really good enough for the ch shop. So I have a small bagful of stuffing mixed with lavender plus the satisfaction of decluttering :D.

Only 2 more work days till the hols, lucky me. By then it will be less than a week until dh is back :T.

Am super tired soonce dd drifts off, so shall I! Maybe I'll get there first...

Pretty sure I am fighting off a lurgi... We'll see which way it goes...

Went to nearby town to do a few bits without dd. Got some underwear from m&s - boy was it expensive! Shows how long it is since I shopped there! But I'd decided not to get things from primarni this time. Took the paperwork for a m&s card - no way was I signing up there and then - but I go there soooo rarely. The previous time was in the summer!

Spocksavers messed up and didn't have my sunnies ready. Grrrr. They offered to do it there and then, if I could go back in 30 mins. I was Mrs Grumpy at the news (should have been ready LAST sunday)and said I'd return another day. I'm going in again tomorrow with dd, so they'd better have 'em done!!

A drive to another area meant I could drop off a bag at the Sally Army and get my £2 credit. I then scoured all the c shops for a dolphin - dd has now written on the calendar to check if blu blu has arrived on the 25th! All in vain. However...I did find a Designa Friend doll for £9.50, so hope dd will forget the dolphin...!

And I got to the bank to pay in about £360. So that'll come off the mortgage as soon as it clears.

A trip to drop off a letter - instead of paying to post it to a location that's a 15 minute walk away - and pay to post a bunny resulted in popping on to the 2 charity shops whilst waiting for the PO to open after lunch.

Result! A Po11y pocket racing track thingy for dd for just £2.50. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet so it's hidden under some jumpers.

And I popped into aldee to stock up on eggs. Then realised I'd forgotten to get icing sugar. D'oh! that will have to wait.

Dd has a little friend over and I've made flapjacks. They will also get cut up and distributed as presents.

And I've added £2 to the selling fund. Go me! :T
