A heavy overnight frost, but a lovely sunny day here. And we spent it inside! Dd loved the soft play place, and I must admit that the bumper cars were fun
.
Dh picked us up and we came home along the route that doesn't pass any shops. Dd asked to go via ch shops, but was happy enough not to. Maybe I'll nab another NSD....
And maybe I'll go and cut out another set of bunny limbs...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd and I have skipped church and wandered up to local shops, in particular the local coffee shop. £4 for a black coffee and a strawberry ice cream milkshake. And internet access
.
We have also bought our 'christmas magazines' for Christmas day. Couldn't find the one dh wanted, so will have to try next week.
To do today:
-find a blue dolphin
-find a mermaid
-write to s&a
-prepare for sch fair
-paperwk for sch
-knit some stripes
-make biscuits
-make something with mince
But none of that can be done here, so I shall enjoy doing nowt!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
16 bunnies tagged, wrapped and labelled. :T
Found a blue dolphin but not buying yet (a pesky Father Christmas told dd that he would get her a 'blu blu' on Cmas eve - grrrrrr. £50 for tat. So am looking for a small blue dolphin to replace!); mermaid bought; sch fair prep done; stripes knitted - only I hurt my left wrist in a tickle fight with dd last night and knitting hurts! Biscuits made and sampled; something made with chicken, as no mince.
Also photographed a few bits to sell at some point. I've started on my list, so at least I feel I am doing something useful!
Dh goes away at a ridiculous hour on Weds morning, returning on the eve of the 22nd. He's going to the northern point of Germany, where it joins Denmark. Have told him to pack his thermals and ski gloves and jacket! I know he will return absolutely worn out, having worked both weekends, and will then be 'expected' to go in to work on the 23rd. I've suggested he takes the 23rd off to recover - and also so that he has more chance of being cheerful over Christmas!
With dh away, I can refuse all invites out :j - unsociable wotsit that I am! We shall use less food, less fuel in the car, have the heating off earlier... But I don't think we can scrimp enough to get below 60k...
Unless I get a shedload of orders for my tree decs and bunnies tomorrow :rotfl:!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Just 5 more work days until I finish for Christmas...
Today is the school's Cmas fair - ar only £5 per table, I hope to make some pennies!
Better shake a tail feather and get dd out of the door then load up the car...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good luck for later!

Thank you greent
. I think I made just under £40, which is pleasing. Again, plenty of compliments, so much ego-stroking! It has given me an idea of what sells, although I guess that different places, different clientele, different tastes!
Anyhow, it has started my 2015 quest to sell £1000. Not all from craft, mind you! That would probably be impossible :rotfl:.
And a lady took my email for when her friend has a baby at Easter - either for a bunny (or two) or some birdies.
So, dh is going out soon and I'll sit with dd, snuggled in a blanket!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thank you MWC!
And the remaining stockings and hanging trees = 38, so that'll cover dd's class and a few other friends! Dd and I have already stamped the labels and just need to write who it is from on the back, attach and slot in an envelope. Phew!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sitting here, on dd's floor, with a big fleece blanket wrapped around me. Dh went out earlier, so I turned the heating off! Tee hee!! I may well be here for another hour, snug as a bug in a rug...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
