The purpose of the appointment seems to have been to discuss medication - which our GP is currently handling. The meds are generally working okay following the recent increase. We had a good long general talk about several things and then I left (at Pip's request) and he had about another hour doing a 'real' session. We're going to go back about every 3 months, which Pip was happy with.

However, despite what seemed to me to be a 'good' weekend, he is totally unfit to go to school today. Poor mite.

In other news, dh fitted a shelf above the fridge over the weekend, and I sold some weights for £30. We're still tidying and sorting and putting things away from the summer kitchen refit! We love the kitchen, we love our new black f/f, dh has ordered a ninja air fryer (I think it's a ninja) that he got half price and is due this week.

Pip has had an epic 5 hour nap! Unheard of for him to sleep in the daytime, so I guess he needed it!

Sounds as if the appointment might have been draining for him but good he was able to feel a benefit.

It's amazing how physically draining using your brain power can be. Hope Pip feels better after a restful day.

Pottering through the back end of the month. More tidying progress made, especially as big sis will be sleeping over for a couple of nights - the hoover is in shock at how much it is being used .

We had a lovely parents evening for Pip yesterday. Really positive and glowing! One teacher said something so important: Pip gets 25% extra time. He doesn't get that in lessons, so the expectation from teachers is that Pip will not necessarily do as much work as the others, but that he continues to produce his rigorous, thorough, diligent and methodical work. Such a relief to be told that.

Today is Pip's final appointment at the Maudsley. We won't miss the travelling. And the brain drain.

I  had a stall at my old school today. And it went so so well. It was lovely to see old friends and chat with other stallholders too. I made the most I've ever made there - about £130. Well chuffed.

I had a chat with my PTA contact and we talked about setting up a little craft group, led by yours truly, probably needlefelting. She's free on Mon mornings and reckons we could use the dining room (it's a lovely room) and see how it goes. Now I need to put together a plan/project/ideas of items to make over a 4/5 week time frame. By that I mean 4 or 5 different items, not one big one! And once I've put that to her, she'll sort out the room, etc.

Big sis and niece left this morning. It was so lovely having them here. But we'll admit that it's even lovelier to have our house back!!!

I've spent most of today changing cut out cats into dinosaurs! It's been tricky, as the dinosaurs were amended from giraffes. And cat to giraffe to dino isn't as simple as I thought it would be!

Another school fair day. One where I'd usually make quite a lot, but this time it was a lot slower. Still enjoyed it hugely, and made about 100 squid. I still seem to have an awful lot of stuff though...

One more week of school left for Pip. He was off for 3 days last week. Oops. Got a meeting next week about his attendance... Gulp.
