I bought us some gladioli today, dark purple. Love 'em!

23 years ago, 2 days before the wedding, I went to a local Argoos to get rings 🤣🤣🤣 (mine was too big and dh's was slightly small, but they sufficed for the day) and to the market to see what flowers they had. And ended up with dark purple gladioli and white lisianthus (I think). And the bouquets were held together with duct tape under the ribbons!

I am very very grateful to the staff at Pip's school, especially the SENCo and his HOY. Pip has been allowed to 'drop' an extra compulsory thing, giving him 3 extra study periods per fortnight. He can drop in and work in the SENCo's room during his study periods. Today his HOY emailed him to let him know that there was going to be a fire drill, and what time.

His future plans do not fit neatly into any box, so they have chosen his old art teacher to be his ppa person (personal progressions adviser), as she also fails to fit into a box and Pip likes her.

Until yesterday, the only apple product in the house was the edible fruit variety. But the school are rolling out ipads for all the pupils over the next couple of years (or terms? Can't recall) and Pip's year group were due to have them in November. The lovely head of IT sorted one out for Pip and Pip got his mitts on it yesterday. He already loves what it does! However, dear reader, rest assured that this does not in any way, shape or form mean that more of those products will gain residency here...

We were up at the ridiculous hour of 6.10 (me) or 6.30 (them) this morning. Dh to go to church (yep, super keen 🤣🤣🤣) and Pip and me to go to Harrow on the Hill where pip was entering a bouldering comp. Pip lasted about 40 mins then had a meltdown. It was so crowded, noisy, people all wanting to climb in the same areas, noisy bassy music and Pip was on his own, very aware that many of the climbers were in squads and so much better than him. But, he went and he gave it a good go and I'm very proud of him.

Despite leaving the comp 1 hour in, we still weren't home before 2.15pm, (walk, tube, tube, train, tram, bus, walk) so I'm personally rather glad we didn't stay longer! I sent Pip up to bed to have a nap. Now, he never naps because it then stops him sleeping at night, but he managed a couple of hours!!! And that made the back end of the day much better for him.

Big sis and bil might get down here in time for tea tomorrow. Now that's gotta be an incentive to tidy up...

Hmm, time just flies! Don't feel like much of note has happened...

Enjoyed a couple of hours with sis and bil, but sis was pretty poorly and they ended up heading home much earlier than planned. They're mending, but it's a long one.

Pip is settling in to sixth form. Studying just 3 subjects is so much better for him.

I'm signed up for the winter fair at Pip's school, so there's now a purpose to my crafting

So a total of 286 items!!!!! But what more do I want to make? A few more dinosaurs, some needlefelted robins... There's still over 2 months until the fair, so I need something to do...!!!

ooh, and I've applied for another invig job. I know the newly appointed exams officer and I'd enjoy working with her.

Wow, look at you, being all super organized and crafty.  How about a little sign for your stall saying you can do requests - email me on .....  For the weirdos who want a Christmas caterpillar or gecko, because it means something .... special .....😆.
How about some knitted Xmas puds? Either as hanging decorations or weighted ones,  or sprouts.
It is absolutely pelting down here today.  Miserable weather. I am supposed to be going out but I really don't want to. I will hoover instead.

And I've got yet another application form all filled in and ready to send once my referees agree to referee me. It pays £5 ph more than the other one and is only a couple of miles away...
