Pip got good results 😁, and can do his A levels. 3 papers to get back, one of them straight for a re-mark: Pip was getting grade 9s all year then ended up with a 6 in the exam...

(Beanie, he chatted with his allocated SLT person - one who just 'gets' him - and will try it for a couple of weeks. He has the option blocks list, so knows the options he could change to.)

He spent the afternoon trampolining with a friend and was all exhausted at the end! He's spent today very quietly and is feeling much better.

My niece popped in for the afternoon, down from Newcastle and on her way to France. We had a lovely natter and she helped me book my flight and accommodation in Málaga in October . Exciting!

Congrats to Pip! Given the struggles of the past few years they've done really well, hope they enjoy their A-Levels a bit more!

More house stuff done. Collected the bottom part of pip's 'new' desk. DH swapped the lightbulbs around in the kitchen. We fully emptied a couple of cupboards and broke them up. I started removing pip's carpet and underlay and gripper strips. Pip wants just bare boards (varnished) and we have to move stuff around (pip's having a huge clear out and tidy up) to get the desk in, so the carpet's coming up a bit at a time!

Clean bill of tooth health at the dentist. Phew.

Glad I cleaned up the yukky paddling pool yesterday when it didn't matter that I got soaked. And that I had the sense to bring it in overnight so that the morning dew didn't make it all wet again, and the slugs and snails didn't get a chance to explore the newly cleaned surface.

Seeing as I was wet anyway, I cleaned up a boxful of bath toys that Pip had marked to go ages ago but I'd done nothing about. There was so much dust I had to repeatedly clear the plug hole! Pip rebuilt the contraptions and put like with like, ready for me to bag up for the charity shop.

There's more carpet and underlay outside, waiting for a trip to the tip. Plus the shell of a set of drawers from the kitchen.

The local badger got into our food waste bin last night and had a good ol' rootle around. It didn't take too long to clear it up and it gave me a chance to have a nice chat with a passing neighbour.

Life has been pottering on. Pip is back at school and is exhausted! But he is dealing with it all so much better than before, which is a very good thing.

Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary and has been a quiet day. We'll go out for lunch later in the week.
