The local minor injuries clinic is one no longer, sadly. There is another sort of one, but you have to go via 111. Or up to A+E and hope it's not busy...
I did get a Dr appointment and she agreed that it looked deep and a bit painful and nasty. She gave me a tetanus and 7 days of antibiotics. And said that if it gets worse, then to call 111. Or go to A+E.
It currently is throbbing a bit, as I've had to walk more today- I had a blood test appointment this morning, then Pip had a Dr one (we're switching him to sertraline) soon after. DH drove us both ways but there was a little bit of walking. For my afternoon  foot appointment, I had to get the bus as DH was taking Pip in the other direction. We still have an ex-hospital stick and crutch that a neighbour gave us when pip sprained his ankle, so I used the stick. It still took me a fair while to reach the bus stop! Dh, bless him, came and picked me up <3.
My recent knitting has been Jean Greenhouse's Witty Knits. I'm enjoying them but need to limit my knitting time as it's very tight knitting and that makes my hands ache. DH would much rather I didn't have 8+ items on the go...!

  • Is it possible to have the weekend with little movement and your foot up? Frustrating when you're used to being active but it might give the healing a head start.

  • Oh dear apple, anything on the foot is an errrrr, pain in the foot!  After all they are so important in getting us from A to B and it's so frustrating when they are injured.  Hoping your injury clears quickly and well done Pip for expert care following your accident xx

Pip had a fab time up in town last night, but none of us were therefore in bed much before midnight! I slept until 9, which is unheard of.
The good news re my foot is that it wept/bled much less overnight. Phew. I'm not running about on it just yet, but it is an improvement which makes me happy.

  • Great news on all fronts and you definitely must have needed that lie-in, apple.  Hopefully you will be sprinting around the neighbourhood very soon!

Pip went to school and survived the day. Dh took him, then I dropped DH off at a bus stop and drove to liddle. Good news- my foot is fine for driving, as I don't press on the cut part. I also did a gym visit and did stuff that doesn't involve any standing up.
I had another play with the assisted pull up machine and feel very proud of myself and my progress.
Pip has applied for a job! In the climbing centre where he goes. Well done him!

I'm so proud of Pip <3. He didn't get invited for an interview, and is actually rather glad about that. But by applying, he wasn't left wondering if he should have.
A good gym sesh today. Still playing with the assisted pull up machine and having fun.
    An excellent counselling sesh too.

  • By 10am, I had been to the gym, washed and changed, taken Pip to school, been to a PTA coffee morning and had a lovely mooch in my fave ch shop.
    For £20 ( he only wanted 13!), I acquired:
small red heart le creuset dish,.
    Lovely mug
    Camper van t-shirt
    Pink top
Long sleeved blue swim top (think paddle boarding in Oz...)
A fab brown thick cotton long coat with loadsa pockets
A pair of teal m+s wide leg loose leggings/ jeggings
A pair of red fine cords for Pip
A pair of brown trousers for Pip
    A hoodie for Pip.
5 pieces of gorgeous fabric ( oops, but not sorry B))
    I had fun!
DH and I are off out for lunch, using a £20 gift card we were given for Cmas. It'll deffo cost more than that though!
